    Hello!
I have a small problem and I will be grateful for help. The only audio output on TV is "Digital audio out (optical)", and I care about connecting external speakers 2.1 through the Jack plug. Is there an easy way to do it?

    Yes, there is.
Needed audio converter "Digital / analog."

Recently a friend bought Samsung UHD and supposedly was an adapter from jack to chinche (L, R and Video) but normally worked as an entrance. And it confirmed Samsung's helpline. After talking to the seller, it turned out that they can be reconfigured in the menu for audio output. So maybe the transducer is not necessarily needed ... And the helpline was not well-informed ...
Unfortunately, I did not write the model. But I think that other Samsungs may be similar.

Optical output, it's digital - will you agree?
The entry after "Jack" is analog - will you agree?
How can these two different signals be combined?

But I did not write about the optical output only about the Audio-Video input (TV jack and adapter for three LR and Video chinche) which normally works as an Audio-Video input but can be reconfigured as an output (analog of course). And so it was in the described case. And it was another UHD TV set. Which does not preclude that it can be reconfigured.

But the author asks about the "optical" output
The audio signal can also be "pulled" from the SKART socket, but it does not always work, eg if the signal will be fed to a TV with HDMI

    Slight correction

The author states that there is no other optical output and can not be true ... Euro may not be in this TV, but it may be the AV input / output. Unfortunately, I do not see the back of this TV and there are no such websites on the websites I visited. Anyway, the author can check it out, so why should I do it?

Hello, I did not want to create a new topic, and I have a similar problem. All in all, I want to make sure that I understand your advice.
I am interested in buying a Samsung K5600 TV, unfortunately it does not have a headphone output, only an optical digital output, 1 component input (Y / Pb / Pr), 1 composite AV input used as a composite Y.
And ... it does not tell me much. If I buy it, I would like to connect it to my TA 1400 (the t.amp) MK-X amplifier (I also have the Xenyx 802 plus 2 Tonsile concealer).
Is the above-mentioned digital to analog converter sufficiently enough? Or maybe someone knows if the devices I have mentioned also have an optical output, and maybe I will be able to connect them in a different way? Thank you in advance for any help, I do not want to buy TV just to be forced to use their speakers.
I attach pictures from the back of the case, found on the internet.

@rrose - the given equipment is not able to directly input the digital audio signal.
The DAC converter will therefore be necessary.
I would strongly suggest purchasing brand products such as FiiO D3 or FiiO D7.
In addition to the TosLink optical cable, you will also need cables - CINCH -> XLR - as in the picture below.
To make all this play on the TV you need to activate the digital output.

A contraindication of this solution is the inability to control the sound with the TV remote control.
I hope that the amplifier is equipped with remote control.

PS By the way, it would be nice to create your own theme ...

    Not necessarily

@ Darek.S - my entry # 9 - referred to entry # 8 Col. @ rrose who has been hanged on this topic with her problem.

Yes, I know that too, and the problem is twins. In Samsung, the audio / video input can also play the role of an (analog) output only you have to configure it. A year ago, I had a case with a friend. They did not know how to do it on the helpline (they even said it was impossible). But a friend bought this TV in the Mediamark (NB from his friend) and clearly indicated what is going on. And the head of Mediamarkt set him up. Unfortunately, I was not there at all (after information from the helpline, I could not give up).

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting external 2.1 speakers to a Samsung UE49K6300 TV, which only has a digital optical audio output. Users suggest using a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to facilitate this connection, with recommendations for specific models like FiiO D3 and FiiO D7. Some participants mention that certain Samsung TVs may allow reconfiguration of audio inputs to serve as outputs, potentially eliminating the need for a DAC. However, it is emphasized that the optical output is digital, while the speakers require an analog signal, necessitating a conversion method. The conversation also highlights the importance of activating the digital output on the TV and the limitation of not being able to control the volume via the TV remote when using a DAC.
