Hi. Look, I have a problem, I bought recently working jumps dell laptop workstation to connect two additional monitors, one succeeded, azd r ugim I have a problem because the station has DVI-D outputs, i.e. only a digital signal.
I get to the heart of the matter, you have an idea how to solve it, because in the DVI-D connector there is no place for these additional 4 pins, and I have a DVI-I to VGA cable, and how to connect it to make it work? Is there a cheap DVI-D to DVI-I adapter? Does there have to be a special converter for this?

There are digital to analog converters on Allegro - cost ~ PLN 20 - should help.

And it is on these 4 missing pins in the DVI-I connector is an analog signal
    which you miss.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

No conversion between digital signals is used - DVI-D to DVI-I
You can buy a signal converter from DVI-D to D-SUB for that.
    Price around $ 100.

I've seen and I'm not convinced that it will work on any graphics card.
From the DVI-D Dual Link connector specification, it comes out that two full digital signals are given.
Citing technical data - "DVI-D digital only, single link or dual link".
I am saying that this grommet will not work, it will not give us an analog signal.

So what will be the best and only solution?

The cheapest ones don't always work properly.

After how could you buy a laptop workstation? Maybe you bought a docking station also known as a port replicator?

Maybe I called it wrong, I mean the docking station :-)

    Exactly something like that,

He adds that I wanted to connect 2 monitors to these outputs (video signed), and because of that I couldn't, because I wasn't looking at it.
I have one monitor connected via displayport, and the other one for VGA currently, but it does not meet my expectations.

I thought to try the second monitor through displayport, but I do not know if 2 additional monitors will want to work on such adapters, I would add that I wanted to do it and have 3 screens, two monitors and the third would be a laptop screen. On it I would like to operate only the desktop and icons, and on other programs.

A piece of plastic is just a shape adapter, not a signal converter. I somehow had DVI-D to VGA in my hand, of course no monitor woke up. At least with me. And I'm not surprised because one is a digital signal, the other is analog. In my opinion, an adapter with signal conversion is needed.

And how would I do it in such a way that I connect dvi-d to hdmi to the station and a hdmi to vga converter ... will it work? because I have something like that. in Attachment

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting additional monitors to a Dell laptop workstation that features DVI-D outputs, which only transmit digital signals. The user is facing challenges in connecting a DVI-I to VGA cable due to the absence of the necessary analog pins in the DVI-D connector. Various solutions are proposed, including the use of digital to analog converters available for purchase, with prices ranging from PLN 20 to around $100. It is emphasized that a simple adapter will not suffice, as a signal conversion is required to connect DVI-D to VGA. The user also considers using HDMI as an alternative connection method. The conversation highlights the importance of understanding the differences between DVI-D and DVI-I connectors and the need for appropriate converters to achieve multi-monitor setups.
