Hello. I would like to refresh the topic. 5HP19 FAU> Standard failure, the pan has been turned over on the converter. Yesterday I dismantled the entire crate with the control board. Before the breakdown, the gearbox jerked heavily when reducing from 4 to 3 gears, pulled on when switching on D, and generally behaved strangely. I will upload pics in the evening. Essential question, somewhere I found a patent with additional 6mm wider acetabular cup. The neck of the converter with minimal scratches, literally a half hundred threshold, I have a professional who took it at the grinding shop, roll the pump housing and make a wider shell made of ... probably a bronze cast. Has anyone done such sculptures? It is not about saving but eliminating this defect in the box, a new pump and converter was installed 4 years ago. Do you make a new acetabular pan and regenerate the converter? I have a few more questions about the baskets and the acetabulum inside, but how do I upload photos? I want to do it right this time and alone. Is there anyone who will tell me a little? Maybe some bearing on parts and sets of seals, control board repair kits. Regards.

Sealers, solenoid valves, control seals, etc.
Jerking, etc. is a matter of control, a shit in the solenoid valve, one of the "manual" valves is rubbed. Unfortunately, the rubbed valve will have to be replaced with an oversized one. The drilling must be done precisely, you will not drill on the table.
If the turner thinks that the material on the walls will be enough, I would make some extra money, then the fitting of this cup will be more accurate.

Well, I am after repair / regeneration of the converter and pressing over the dimensional pan in the original, the control board was dismantled washed, washed even though it was clean, assembled with a new gasket, two sealants looked strange so I also replaced. The box is inserted, the oil level is of course perfectly leveled, it came about 9.5 liters ........ how nice it was to surprise me, how fast it flashes and changes gears beautifully. unfortunately, only two days, something started buzzing, so strange, not metallic just like the humming of the power steering pump, deaf, hydraulically and then the replay of entertainment, i.e. oil on the road, tow truck. who made the mistake here because it seems to me asleep ....... regeneration of the clutch. am I wrong? I am asking for comment. may be on a private matter. I don't reveal who in Wa = knows it to me but as a nice god I am excited, because the work in A6 was in ... I have read the opinions of the company that has regenerated and I must admit the best are not similar statements. Best regards and thank you for your reply

I did the same with a pump for a colleague, because it was cheaper ("button" true, re-taking the crate, undressing, etc.) I bought the original oversized cup, the turner inserted beautifully and what, after 30 km. drive released oil. From now on I always put on a new pump, its price is leaking, and I have no problems. As for the clutch, I order regeneration at Samko Warszawa or Sentyrz Kraków. No whitening, grinding etc.

It ended with a new neck of the converter, with a new pump and the shell, and it's ok. The matter is not over yet that it will tear at reduction from 4 to 3 and it is hard. The photo of the driver board is just what to do with it and where to look for the reason, it has recently started tugging when switching on D and R with N. For now I drive but I know that if I do not do it again ... the crate. If anyone has any ideas or information about the driver and any parts it would be great. Regards.

I would replace the valves that control the places. MV2 with MV3 and EDS2 with EDS3. There is a description of these valves on the list. If you replace them and one is damaged, it will stop jerking you in 3rd gear and it will be in reverse or in 5. Then you will be sure what to replace. You can also measure the resistance of these valves without removing the pan.
