Welcome back. I bought a Fiat SC 900 from 2001 some time ago. I only got one blue key from the seller. I do not have a code card or a maroon key, so if I wanted to make an extra key, I would not program it. This is not a tragedy yet, because many key drivers can also clone the immo transponder code to the key being added (for a trifle PLN 150 / item), but if I ever had an immo, I will be cooked anyway. Is it possible to disable immo using the diagnostic connector, or at least start the key programming procedure?
If not, I would like to turn off immo completely, because let's be honest that the 16-year-old Fiat SC is not an attractive prey for a thief these days. I learned that it can be done by physically interfering with the computer and using a special programmer, and the service does not cost little. Can I replace the computer with one without immo? Did Fiat even release such to SC? If so, I would ask for markings so that I would know what to look for.
Ps: If there is a concern that this information will be used by potential car thieves, please reply in a private message. Best regards.
