    Hello.
    At the customer's site, I want to replace light sources from halogen to LEDs. In the photo below I have uploaded the data of the power supply used for halogen lamps. Which power supply do you recommend with these parameters for leds? The customer has a KNX installation and system. I also put in the data of the light source that the client wants to use.

    The lamp is 32pcs. but in different quantitative configurations.
    Generally, for halogens, 26 pieces are used. power supplies. There will be the same number for LED lamps, but they do not have to be up to 210W.
    The largest amount in one combination is 6 pcs. double lamps (12 bulbs).

    Why don't you use this power supply? One power supply (the one in the picture) is enough to power 4 to 16 LED lamps, and you do not have to buy new ones. Only if you want to power 3 or fewer lamps you have to give smaller.

    Do you know what this power supply is and how it works?

    LEDS, even those on 12V AC, will evaporate after a minute or faster.

    I'm so sorry, but you're wrong. The power supply adapted to halogens behaves like a small "strobe" when connected to LED lamps. They are visible to the naked eye when the lamp is flashing. Of course, this sentence about the strobe is exaggerated, but such a power supply cannot be used for LEDs.

    Have you tried to connect such LEDs to such a transformer, or are you just theorizing?
    The principle of operation of such a transformer is pulsed operation with a frequency of several dozen kilohertz, for a bulb it does not matter, but LEDs for 12V AC have rectifiers adapted to 50 / 60Hz power supply and they cannot withstand several dozen kilohertz.
    The LED in the photo is also on the frequency of 50 / 60Hz.

    Have you encountered one with a fast rectifier?
    For the author: use ordinary 12V DC transformers or power supplies with a power of 25-30% higher than the power of the LEDs that will power them.

    Gentlemen, we're departing from the topic :) . I will not use these old power supplies because I know that they are not 100% suitable. Now, if someone has a moment, please help me in choosing :) .
