    Hello.

After installing the drivers from the
".exe" yellow question marks appeared in the device manager.

For manual installation, the ".inf" file is required.
Is it the "$ winnt $ .inf" which I have in system32?

    ---

The hardware is IBM T41, screen is here Windows XP SP3
    below are the hardware identifiers.

    Multimedia Audio Controller:
    PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_24C5 & SUBSYS_05371014 & REV_01

    Video controller:
    PCI \ VEN_1002 & DEV_4C57 & SUBSYS_05301014 & REV_00

The screenshot shows the problem with the following, but I don't think they are
urgently needed, so I did not write about them:

    Ethernet controller:
    PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_101E & SUBSYS_05491014 & REV_03

    Network controller:
    PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1043 & SUBSYS_25518086 & REV_04

    PCI modem:
    PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_24C6 & SUBSYS_05241014 & REV_01

    Unknown device:
    ACPI \ IBM0068

Enter the version of the system and identifiers of the devices for which drivers are missing.

Also, write what is this exe file and are you sure you installed something, not just unpacked on the disk?

    I guess some Lenovo.

The listed installers should install drivers and applications.

It is possible that the devices visible in the manager are not audio and graphics but something else, so you MUST provide the model of this lenovo and device IDs from the manager (ven and dev or pid and vid - just not screenshots!).

I gave in first post .

As if I had marked "yes" in options here would it work for audio?
I did not select anything in the "Have disk ..." option. "Intel" and "Intel (r) AC'97 Audio Controller" only.

I had all the necessary drivers saved in advance
and installed them in the order in this list. Controller
the chipset was last, so the last one installed.
Is it possible that these drivers are not working and how
    fix it?

Reinstall the chipset driver, then other device drivers.

    For PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_24C5 install: http://drivers.drp.su/Sound_ADI/ADI/5x86/Lenovo_6/new/ADI-5x86-Lenovo_6-new-drp.exe
Download, unpack the exe file with 7-zip and install from the device manager by selecting driver updates.

    VEN_8086 & DEV_101E: http://drivers.drp.su/LAN_Intel/Intel/FORCED/5x86/PRO1000/Intel-FORCED-5x86-PRO1000-drp.exe

    VEN_1002 & DEV_4C57: http://drivers.drp.su/Videos_AMD-XP/AMD/FORCE...5x86/10.4/AMD-FORCED-Legacy-5x86-10.4-drp.exe

I downloaded the first audio driver.

I choose "Update Driver", I come to the hardware selection
and check "Sound, video and game controllers" then
I have options like here ("Intel" and "Intel (r) AC'97 Audio Controller"),
I click "Have disk ..." and adding the unpacked whole thing doesn't work
file ".exe", I'm looking for the file ".inf" and finds the following:
    SMWDMAT4.INF
    SMWDMCH4.INF
    SMWDMCH6.INF

    Which one to choose?

And not the easiest way to install the Lenovo System Update program - it should show you what you need to install ???

Or just great - look for images of Recovery tiles for T41 published by a Thinkpad fan and install the system that the factory gave :-)
Because someone who uses the T41 also does it for such not very commercial reasons ...

There is a special forum http://www.forum.thinkpads.com/
section in our Polish forum: http://www.nhl.pl/index.php?s=8c0a438f00e3ff116d60e2f8974752c7&showforum=63

Oh, I'm also a thinkpadofilm, I have T42p, R50p, T60 / T60p, X60tablet, X200 tablet ... You have so much sickness for these 15 years and it's a pity to throw away because they are fully functional, housings and screens crush today's trash, but these interiors they are not doing very well anymore ...

@Damien.. why do you choose the driver manually? Select automatic installation, pointing only to the directory with drivers.

Before using Lenovo System Update, this option was
    inactive but already running.

All drivers should install from the so-called "slot machine". "
