    Hi,

I already wrote down my phone for losses, thinking that the motherboard failed - similarly stated the service technician. After inserting the original battery, the phone did not respond at all. After inserting a non-original battery, pressing and holding the power button, the phone began to turn on and off. Periodically. But nothing else - it didn't respond to any pressure. After replacing the battery with the original one, the phone would not turn on at all. After replacing the battery again, pressing and holding the button, the phone turns on / off - the model name is displayed, but nothing else. After connecting the phone to charge, the charging picture shows - but only if it is turned off.

What could be the reason for this behavior of the phone?

    Best regards,
    Michael

See if the phone goes in DOWNLOAD MODE - this is the mode that we start with a combination of buttons VOL- + HOME + POWER
if it enters and won't restart, there is a chance to upload the recovery ROM via Odin.
I understand that the model is GT-I9195 so you have a repair rom here: Link if a different model, then write and not play with a stick.

Hey, thanks for the answer :-) It looks like you are right because the message popped up: "A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications. If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key. Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel . "
Yes, the phone model is GT-I9195. Thanks for the links and best regards,

Hello, I will step on the topic, I have the same situation on my wife's phone.

What exactly will happen to the phone after uploading this software? What about data and applications?

Edit: I downloaded the repair file, unpacked it, but instead of the mentioned 4 AP BL CP CSC files I see the list as in the pasted picture. Which options should be marked / unchecked in the ODIN program? I have never flashed my phone before, I don't want to "beat it", so I would like a pathological explanation ...

Colleague @gasior, as you can see, these files are not typically marked. So in BL you load the BOOTLOADER file, in AP the file with the largest size, i.e. CODE, in CP the MODEM file and, CSC probably ;) Additionally, the PIT file, and in Odin's options you select re-partition.
The most important thing, however, is to be sure that this rom is for your phone model.

And that's what this information was about! Model I9195 so I assume it's ok.

    Thanks and regards.
