    Hello,
I have a question for you, namely how to buy a switch for funbox 2.0, because I have problems with wifi (orange technicians say that there is a lot of metal in the walls), and I want a good signal on the TV and console in a separate room? I have 300mb / s fiber-optic Internet, a computer is connected to the modem via a cable. In the room with the TV and the console, I also have a device in the socket (I do not know the name), which can be connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable, but its speed is 100mb / s. I would like to pull the cable from the funbox to the living room and connect it to a switch to separate the signal on TV and consoles, and also, if possible, improve the WiFi signal, because it is really average on mobile devices. Is e.g. TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND will pass the exam?

The question is whether your connection really reaches the speed of 300 Mb / s. I doubt you have such speeds on your connection. Enter some speedtest cards. Maybe some ordinary switch or router is enough to make the link stable.

    I'm sending speedtest: Choosing a 300Mb/s Switch for Orange FunBox 2.0: TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND Suitable?

So, if I click on the cable of this TP-link, it will also fulfill the router function to improve the signal in the living room for mobile devices? Will it be only a switch, i.e. the possibility of connecting with cables? Forgive these questions, I don't know much, and when I read the statements of others, they are hardly understandable, so I prefer to ask directly :)

It will act as a router and switch. A matter of settings.

If you only need a switch, buy e.g. TL-SG1005D (half cost about PLN 60)
WR1043ND is about PLN 180, but you also have Wi-Fi,
It all depends on what you need.

I just need a switch, but it could also use better WiFi, so I will take a tp-link if there is no better one at a similar price? Thanks to everyone for the answers.

On the laptop, install inssider 2.x, perform a network scan, show the results (time graph, 2 and 5 ghz tabs)

Unfortunately, I do not have a laptop in stock, I can ask a friend to drop by in the evening and send me the results.

NETIS WF2880 with similar parameters is a bit cheaper.

A similar Netis WF2780 DualBand without USB.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a suitable switch for the Orange FunBox 2.0 to enhance internet connectivity in a separate room where Wi-Fi signals are weak due to metal walls. The user seeks to connect a switch to the FunBox to improve the signal for a TV and console, while also considering the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND. Responses suggest that the TL-WR1043ND can function as both a router and a switch, providing Wi-Fi capabilities. Alternatives like the TL-SG1005D and NETIS WF2880 are also mentioned for users who may only need a switch. The importance of verifying actual internet speeds and considering dual-band routers for better Wi-Fi performance is highlighted.
