During the scan, I had the fan disconnected, hence the error in Engine and HVAC .
I checked the fuses by disconnecting some and since then they also do not want to remove errors from the glow plug and relays. It is possible that by touching I broke some relay.

Returning to the assistance, I checked the fuses under the hood and the driver's wheel all ok, I also checked that the two large cables going to the assistance have continuity and power.
The power plug and cables also look ok, but I don't know where the end is to check the cable continuity.
Is it possible that the power steering engine broke down and gives such an error? Just replace the engine itself or the entire ironing machine?

Anyone know how to solve these errors? I've asked a few mechanic friends and I still don't have anything ....

In my opinion problem / error solution:

    00003 - Control Module
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - MIL ON

and then adaptation of the support would solve my problem.

    EDIT:
In the Sharan forum with an identical error I found that if I have software versions in the support:
0802 this is a very malfunctioning * version that likes to release this error and it is possible that upgrading the software to version (1101) in support will fix the error.

I have VCDS and VAS I suspect that I need to use a VAS to update the software that I don't know about (I got used to VCDS and VAS is unused). Could someone please explain where to download the current soft for my car and how to update it?
Or maybe the reason will be somewhere else?

    tak próbowałem robić adaptacje:

    Quote:

    Perform Steering Limit Stop Adaptation
Make sure the Ignition is ON and the Engine is Running.
Center Steering Wheel (±10°) and hold it centered for about 5 Seconds.
Turn Steering Wheel completely to the Left and hold there for about 10 Seconds.
Turn Steering Wheel completely to the Right and hold there for about 10 Seconds.
    Center Steering Wheel (±10°).
    Switch Engine and Ignition OFF.
    Switch Ignition ON.
    Wait about 5 Seconds.
Steering Assist Warning Lamp should turn OFF (If it doesn't, perform a short Test Drive).

Hey, I was able to solve the problem and for posterity if the red support lamp is on and help is not at all.
    And a mistake like me:
    00003 - Control Module
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - MIL ON

This should be uploaded a new soft to support: My soft had the number 0802:
    5N1909144L 0802

I flashed it with ODIS to:
    5N1909144N_1101_BP

supposedly soft 0802 is very flawed and I like to break free, replacing the maglera would help, of course, but it is a much more expensive party.

After Flashing ODIS Engineering even though i used the version BP which should leave a support character curve,
    I had a version Kl.0
And the curve of assistance should have been added.

As a curiosity I will add that if we do not upload the support curve, it still works the same regardless of speed. And we can upload almost any curve even from the passat B6 or B7 R and depending on the version we will have such support.

After all, you need to make Adaptations which I described above:
    Steering Limit Stop Adaptation

    edit:
however, due to my checking the wires I had to close something; / and I still can't cope with the errors:

    Quote:

I didn't have these errors before.

I checked the relays that are under the fuses and:
relay from glow plugs No. 457 does not lead anywhere so it considers broken (maybe guilty for error 4984 - Cylinder 1 Glow Plug Circuit (Q10)
The 433 relay conducts all the time, giving voltage to the coil, skipping can be heard but the transition is still whatever the state.

I will add that the fan turns on whenever it wants. Tz. car stands open suddenly turns on and turns off the dopeiro when I turn on the ignition.
The car is closed and the fan also turns on suddenly for no reason, I start the car suddenly goes out ...
    Anyone see a solution?

    Before flashing mistakes were?

the fan has a controller in it. See if it is controlled or starts itself.

As for the candle, check in the relay plug if it is damaged.

Yes, these errors, as you can see in the first post, were when I started rummaging in fuses and checking the continuity of the wires.
They were gone before. The car had a bump and after the bump there was an error with the candle but after connecting the plugs and fixing the bumper it disappeared and it was ok.

As for the radiator fan, it was damaged (module) because the old fan broke all the time, whenever it got power.
Connecting the battery caused the fan to run permanently.
I bought a second used one and put it on and now it has the same concerns as above.

    @ Falubaz1
Thanks to the help of colleagues from the mhhauto.com forum
Flashing of the support curve is done exactly the same as flashing the controllers ODIS-E or VAS-PC You just don't choose a large file for flashing like:
    5N1909144N_1101
    5N1909144N_1101_BP
    5N1909144P_1202_BP
    5N1909144R_1401_BP

and the smaller one containing only the curve:
    v074B3335N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo -333 - Passat B7 R-Line - () = [clearly weaker support above 60km / h]
    v074B3365N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo -336 - Passat () = [Most popular among users]
    v074B3375N1 ___ Lenkung.sgo - 337 - Passat B7 2013

Of course, you should deselect version checking during Flash in Admin settings

    Gentlemen - quick question:

ODIS 4.13 suggests to me the need to upgrade the firmware to the j500 driver (power steering).
After upgrading the firmware via ODIS, do I have to do adaptation / calibration / anything else?

In general: what do you think about (this is my source problem):
    http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread...e-Self-seversible-after-some-engine-OFF-time? p = 1069151 # post1069151

If it turns out that the j500 is to be replaced:
    - what could be the approximate cost?
    - do I have to do adaptation / calibration / something else after the exchange?

adaptation of the keypad steering angle should be done.
    By ignition on,
    wheels straight.
    wheels max to the right
    wheels max left
    wheels straight

    this order or reverse. :)

As for your error, although you do not have Vaga / VCDS, and ODIsem, you can also read the errors that appear in the support module.

    Thanks for the answer!

Here's what ODIS4.13 reports (attached full report).
    A bit sparse ...
(or maybe there is an option here for more accurate reporting / testing)?

The positive is probably that the report points to j500 (driver) and not to g269 (strain gauge force and steering wheel angle sensor; apparently it is integrated with the maglow and if the whole maglow is replaced ...)

in steering assist you have errors:

    number:
    VAG00003: Control module
    Error type 1:
    Electrical error in circuit
    Error type 2:
    Intermittent

Did you update this software on your steering wheel ??

This module is integrated and must be replaced together with the ironing board.
Such stupidity but you checked the fuses?

    Does Passat have auto parking?
    Did you make adaptations?

    Unfortunately not yet :-(
I have to prepare it a bit - you know:
    1. I have never done a car firmware update ...
    2. I have to check ODIS - so as not to screw up ... (you know - doing it myself I probably save PLN 100-200 because I would probably pay so much at some specialized WV service; so if I caution - the loss will be measurable)
(btw: do I need to pay particular attention to something specific when updating?)

    kubuswujo wrote:

    it's terrible ....
and I already hoped that this fault could be removed for some reasonable money :-(
btw: are there somewhere on the net photos of the inside of the controller / diagram?

    kubuswujo wrote:

No, because I decided that the problem is most likely of the type "electrolyte" which loses capacity after prolonged work under voltage at elevated temperatures.
I put this hypothesis for a problem like that:

    http://87.207.99.117/steering-malfunction.MOV.zip

must take place simultaneously _ 2 conditions:
    - at least average ambient temperature (20-C or more)
    - long ride (2 hours or more)

As the malfunction occurs - the time of the spontaneous disappearance of the problem is proportional to the driving time (2h driving - 15min idle and disappears; 15h driving - 1.5h idle and disappears by itself).

When the problem occurs - occurs only when the engine is restarted.
For less it looks like a fault:
    1. long-term operation of the controller - all OK (recently I spent 15 non-stop with the manager - all OK).
2.user turns the ignition off and on again - so the controller passes reset + self-test
3.the driver does not pass power-on self-test or power-on reset due to some element that has admitted its parameters
4.If the uaser waits long enough - the unlucky element will come back with its parameters - and the controller will undergo a reset + self-test.

The hypothesis fits perfectly here: the electrolyte that periodically loses capacity and causes that the microcontroller in the j500 cannot start (or is periodically reset).

    hypotheses:
    - I rather reject bad contact on the wires / connectors - because the fault repetitively spontaneously disappears (in a repetitive manner) after a specified idle time.
    - purely thermal overheating of the CPU (or other component) - I also rather refuse not believing that a component heats up to the temperature causing the fault only after a few hours.

anyway - if j500 replacement = maglinder replacement - basically after the birds :-(
(typhus - it's a pity because I was hoping that maybe I could remove my fault in the controller with my own soldering iron ....)

So I see the following strategic options :-) :
1 \ I lecture (as I understand) 3-5k PLN and _ count_ that the problem will disappear.
2 \ I live with a problem (and remember to keep the engine off in long journeys).

Thus, it can be said that for saving 3-5 PLN I have to avoid putting out the engine on long routes.
Problem when e.g. I accidentally / mistakenly stop the engine ...

    no

    kubuswujo wrote:

no - because as I understand it should be done only after updating the software?
    good catch

in general - what do you think?

So yes: the use of maglinder is about 1.5k.

When updating the software, all you need to watch out for is:
The right software number for your driver and what you currently have.
Charged battery or charger. (the update is not long it takes about 3 min max 10 min)

Do you have instructions on how to Fash Odis? In PDF? and you have the right driver file?
If not, write and insert instructions and files. (I have access to Mhhauto.com and downloaded 500GB files from the VAGA firmware).

In my opinion, or just like in my case, the firmware is released and once goes through some instructions (loops) and sometimes not. (and maybe after all save the last assist time and calculate something)

Or, as you say, and as the error shows, something electrical has broken down and doesn't connect. (transistor, capacitor, diode, path does not connect, something oxidized / rusted from moisture.

So in your case the firmware update helped? What was the problem
Issuing a software + instructions would be great!

BTW: Interestingly, ODIS4.13 strictly recommends that I update my support firmware (next to the pillow firmware and the infamous E189).
Well, I see there is hope :-) ))))

    Hello gentlemen,

I am struggling with the long drive problem described above, followed by a steering defect. Did someone manage to solve this problem? If I replace the Maglow, will I be sure to remove this system? Where can I update the software and does it help / is it required?

    Hello dear group,

I have a similar problem in the Passat CC from 2011, but it is not that the support is completely lacking - the yellow support and ESP indicator lights up, while the support itself works correctly.
After the calibration the ESP / ABS indicator went off, but unfortunately the assistance adaptation cannot be completed (in addition, communication with the controller has been broken from time to time).

The electronics "examining" the car said that in his opinion the steering angle sensor works correctly (reacted to the slightest movement of the steering wheel, showed reliable values) and bets the problem on the way of the power steering engine-driver. Unfortunately, he said that it could not be 100% ruled out a slight malfunction of the steering sensor, which no. it would cause problems with proper cooperation (communication) with other elements of the assistance system, causing an error.
Is it worth replacing the (theoretically functional) steering angle sensor before taking further steps?

My question is the following - if one of the two elements on the ironing machine (engine, power steering controller) malfunctions, it would be enough to transfer only the above elements from another car, or would there be any sensors in the ironing machine itself and the complete mangle?
I would like to add that I bought the car slightly struck by the front (lamp, bumper, bonnet) and I do not know if this error is the result of a collision, but it is hard for me to imagine that such a small shock could in any way affect the equipment / steering assistance in the ironing machine.

I would be grateful for any information and any hints on what else to check / where to look before I decide to replace the ironer.

    Thank you and best regards,
    ericssoun

PS I forgot to add that the driver's airbag shot up in the collision - I do not know whether it was necessary to disassemble the steering wheel for replacement, but on another topic I read that there may be something such as "not a well-matched tape under the steering wheel with an iron". How to verify it and, if necessary, set it so that it is correct?

Hello - I transfer my OWN !!! experiences to the problem of ericssoun3m ---- disconnect the minus terminal from the battery ---- remove the steering wheel cushion - check the compatibility of the shaft marking with the steering wheel (if I remember correctly, unscrew the steering wheel nut to see the cuts that must coincide) --- as for the tape under the steering wheel it is already a few shelves above (detach the cushion and set it aside, loosen the nut from the steering wheel, turn the steering wheel to the nut, straight steering wheel and straight wheels !!!, unscrew the nut, carefully remove the steering wheel) --- the tape has a sensor turning account and must also be set on the marks, i.e. the mark on the housing must coincide with the movable parts (I turn the tape to the slight resistance to one side, then I turn to the other side while counting the number of turns to slight resistance, then I reverse by half the turn, in this setting half turn + - I look for the moment of overlapping characters on the tape) --- - If the steering wheel is crooked while driving, adjust the wheel alignment by adjusting the threaded rods between the ironing board and knobs ------- The ironing board has been constructed since 2008 that the engine will not be changed, the steering control also (two dismantled for experience) Only replace the steering angle sensor with the shaft in the ironer only the settings and numbers must be the same. Codo support controls if I remember correctly after the above directions to do calibration in abs and then in support
