    Hello,

I'll join the topic with a similar problem.

I had a defective coilover tape, the tape was bent and I suppose that it was badly wound at some point which caused a tear at the connector. I disassembled the reel module, the tape repaired and rewound.

After assembly, the tape worked while I had a problem with the steering angle sensor (G85) - it indicated values out of range (>720 degrees). I could not do the sensor adaptation (according to the ross-tech instructions)

I rewound the tape once more, assembling the coil having the module connected and at the same time verifying the steering angle settings on VCDS. I manually adjusted the sensor dial then rewound the tape in the correct position.

In the neutral position I now have the angle around 0, it gets the correct steering values in both directions but unfortunately I can't do the steering sensor adaptation - it throws a mechanical fault in the power steering motor and shuts down the power steering, ESP, etc.

I can erase all error codes except one:

After erasing the errors and driving straight ahead is ok, power steering works, when turning gently the rear view camera shows the steering wheel turn marks correctly.

When turning more, the errors relating to the steering sensor return.

As I mentioned earlier, when I put the steering wheel in the 0 position I can clear them except for 03375 in the controller 44.
I did all the steps with the battery connected, most likely the coilover sent a signal about the change in steering angle and the power steering "assumed" that the motor is damaged since the angle does not change, hence the error....

I guess that without a flash I will not solve the problem, unfortunately I have no experience with this and any help is welcome.

I found the following batches, did I choose well?

    - 5N1909144S_1501_BP.sgo (I selected the file with 1501 based on the scan)

    - v074B3245N1___Lenkung.sgo (power steering characteristic curve) - here I selected "324"

    Numbers from the scan: J500__APA-BS KL.324 1501

I'm trying to get a cable from rice land with OKI MC6636 + AMB 2300 chipset - will it be suitable for this task ("compatible" with 5054a)? Is flashing very complicated and something special I should pay attention to?

    Thanks again for your help

    I used 5054a with ODIS 8.1.3.

Uploading the same flash (5N1909144S_1501_BP) did not remove the error 03375. I also checked an older version 5N1909144R_1401_BP - also no change.

Only uploading the soft without "BP" in the name removed the error, I used 5N1909144N_1101 after which I uploaded back 5N1909144S_1501_BP and to the same characteristic curves.

    Error 03375 disappeared.

I now have two new errors indicating no adaptation of G85 sensor and extreme position:

I tried to perform adaptations by turning the steering wheel, through VAS and VCDS, unfortunately without success.

Any ideas what to do next?

I have the same problem too. Has anyone solved it?

Yes, I managed to solve it. Since it's been a while, I can't remember exactly, but in a nutshell:

Taking the module apart and then reassembling it resulted in a "hang-up" - The module went dumb due to the incompatible position of the magnetic sensor in relation to the infrared sensor (with the dial). Despite uploading a new flash and power steering map I still could not do the adaptation.
I managed to buy a new module cheaply. With ODIS I ripped the settings of the old module - this included the setting of the rear camera, sensors etc.
I fitted the new module, changed the configuration, taking the data from the previous one - without this, there was no reversing camera and a couple of other errors lit up.
This time I did the adaptation without any problems, I think all I had to do was turn the steering wheel right-left.
All the other errors disappeared and I've been driving like this until today, all ok.

PS. Digging around on the web, I found some Russian forum of magicians who repair such modules, you just need to send them a ripped memory dump, they fix it and send it back. Generally, due to the lack of tools to rip the module memory and low confidence in the veracity of their offer, I did not go that way. If I remember correctly, the service was for $10 or $20. It might as well be a scam.... but on the other hand it can certainly be fixed as the problem is in the software.
