Hello . I have a problem with the ignition switch, namely ... yesterday I got into the car, I put the key in the ignition, turned the ignition on, heated it, all the controls were ok, when I turned the key, nothing happened, the car did not start, there was no reaction. I took out the key, put it in again, turned the key off and nothing. This time there was even no ignition, no indicator light came on and I could turn the key away from myself and there was no resistance to myself, the ignition switch did not bounce. What could have happened? Should I replace the entire ignition switch? Cube? Or maybe something with fuses? Help!

I have already written to you what and how to check. I do not know why my colleague Green KIA is asking.

Hello, I am asking about the year, because since 2004, sick ignition switches were installed in the ignition locks with a key, first they blocked the key - it was harder to insert and pull out / it was enough to replace the fin itself and then if it was not removed in time, it was necessary to replace the entire ignition switch - and this cost about PLN 700-800 ...... because the scattered mechanism blocked everything .., check the fuse itself - whether it is functional - sometimes someone installs a REPLACEMENT with thinner feet and they do not contact properly, which causes a problem with starting ...
Additionally check the cable - and the battery clamps - it may be damaged or torn off the control cable to the starter. Good luck
