    I warmly welcome

I have had a TV LG 43LF510V for a year. I have been thinking about connecting a Soundbar to it for some time, at the same time I would like the Soundbar to be connected to the PS4.

At the outset, I would like to point out that this TV model is very poor in terms of inputs / outputs, namely only what it has: EURO input, CI module and HDMI, However, I do not know if it is HDMI in the ARC version (I was looking for a lot on various forums , however, no specific specification regarding the HDMI marking). I also asked several online stores to provide such information, but it ended up only with my questions :)

I am fully aware that if the TV would have HDMI with ARC, it is enough to connect the HDMI 1.4 TV cable to the Soundbar (which has HDMI input and output), and connect the HDMI output from the Soundbar to the PS4; and then such a set should work fine. I found a LG Soundbar for about PLN 1000, which, according to buyers, works well in relation to the money spent. Why is this? This particular set has an HDMI input and output.

My question is for people who may have a similar TV or know exactly where to ask or see a detailed description of the TV and its inputs and outputs.

Or I was thinking about buying an Hdmi Switch that would support HDMI ARC, or had a separate audio input (because as you know HDMi without ARC does not support it), below are two photos of an example switch ... necessary??

I will be grateful for your advice, as I want everything to go together nicely, and I would not like to change the TV specifically to connect external speakers.

    greetings
    Jack

Hmm, I don't know why my friend insisted on connecting HDMI and ARC.
You can approach this problem differently.

The fact is that the TV does not support the ARC function. If he had it, it would be visible in the SimpLink menu options.

If I were a friend, I would have given myself all kinds of HDMI switches, this is not the way in this case.

The TV does not support ARC, but has an optical output that can be successfully used to control the sound-bar.

Also my suggestion is as follows:

    - a friend will find / buy a sound-bar with an optical input
    - assuming that a friend buys this sound-bar, you need to activate the optical output in the TV settings
    - The PS4 friend will connect directly to a free HDMI socket on the TV, after switching the TV to this socket, the sound on the optical output will change accordingly.

My colleague, the problem is that the TV does not have an optical output :) If I had one, I would not assume this topic :)

Hmm, I was looking at the manual of this TV and the optical output settings are shown there.
Hence my answer and no other.
Now I have looked for the exact specification and you can see no digital output, or even headphone ... heh ... very poorly equipped TV :(

Are TV stations received from a built-in decoder or an external one?
PS4 is the only device connected via HDMI to TV?

Currently, the only device connected to the TV is PS4 via Hdmi

Heh, it was important whether the external or built-in tuner.
    But,

I receive it from the built-in tuner.
    This situation is very helpful.
Because it means that the sound from TV stations is given in analog form on the Scart output.

    Also my suggestion:
    - a colleague will look for a sound-bar that will have both an HDMI input and output and an analog input, usually marked AUX IN
    - in addition to HDMI cables, the colleague will buy a EURO - 6xCINCH cable, such as in the photo below.
One pair of plugs (labeled Audio Out) - white and red - should "speak" from the TV to the sound-bar.
In the sound-bar, of course, we choose the AUX IN input in this case.
Yellow plugs are not used at all in this case.

    Good luck :)

Thanks mate for the hint :)

I watch on TV through the built-in tuner, This TV model has 2 built-in tuners, one for terrestrial TV (DVB-T, DVB-C) and the other tuner for satellite TV (separate input)

In total, I was also wondering if it could be connected somehow via EURO, but there is no guarantee that such a connection of the TV with the Sound Bar will work.

It worries me a bit, because I spend about PLN 1000 on a Sound Bar, and then it turns out that none of this is art either.

Buddy, I followed your advice .... in fact, there is sound through the above cable, but analogue, and thus the image on the TV goes earlier and the sound is about 2-3 seconds late .... I'm also slightly disappointed, because the Soundbar cost PLN 1299 for me, and there are no effects ...

    How is it not there?
    cyco123 wrote:

The signal via the EURO cable is always analog. It was so obvious to me that I didn't mention it.
A colleague above mentions HDMI selectors or other combinations. I also had the impression that my friend knew such a basic thing.
Anyway, it is the only one, I repeat, the only one the way to get TV sound from this TV into a sound bar.
No HDMI ARC, optical or Coax output - not even a headphone output.

As I mentioned, the TV is very budget.
If I were to make an analogy between this TV and a normally equipped receiver for a bicycle, for example, I would say that my friend has a frame, wheels and pedals.
You have to brake with your heels. That's all.
Well, maybe I'm hurting this TV a bit. After all, it has one (!) HDMI input, I will "add" a bell to this example bike.

I am trying to say here that my friend has a very poor TV, but unfortunately too high expectations for him. That is the truth, however mean it is.

According to the instructions, the TV should have a function to adjust the sound and image synchronization.
    A colleague tried?

    If a colleague really cares about digital sound from TV stations, it might look like this;

    - do not use an internal tuner
    - obtain an external TV decoder - the decoder must have an HDMI output
    - get an HDMI selector, connect the decoder and PS4 to the sound-bar through it
    - connect to the TV from the HDMI output in the sound-bar.

This is what it would look like. But is it a "skin worth a layette"? I dare to doubt.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a LG 43LF510V TV to a soundbar and a PS4 via HDMI ARC. The user inquires about the TV's HDMI capabilities, specifically whether it supports ARC, as the TV has limited input/output options. Responses clarify that the LG 43LF510V does not support HDMI ARC and lacks optical output, making it challenging to connect a soundbar directly. Suggestions include using a soundbar with both HDMI and analog inputs, connecting the PS4 directly to the TV, and utilizing a EURO to RCA cable for audio output. However, the user experiences audio delay when using the analog connection, leading to disappointment with the soundbar's performance.
