Hello. I have a D-link DWR 932 mobile modem. I would like to buy an external antenna, but I am not sure to enter and whether it will help me. Now the LTE reach is low on the website. The strength is -100dbm. I have about 10 km to the transmitter.
I have this entrance. Is this TS9?

When I read it, all the alarms in my pop-up card fired.

Antennas are bought for a given band, so you must omit what bandwidth you use.

    start from compulsory reading

Which mobile net operator do you use?

And in what network do you want to use this poor, mobile toy? What is the location? And what is this "wonderful" antenna with 2x22dBi gain? As for the antenna connectors, D-Link does not specify what this MiFi has, it is possible with CRC9 or TS9. CRC9 has a smaller diameter. MiFi D-Link are not very popular, its choice in Plus for PLN 240 is bad.

Plus network. Well, unfortunately they offered me that, I took it.

And as for my friend bogiebog. Alarms also fire me as I write that I do not know it and I ask for help, and for your part some ...

I will only add that some week ago the Internet worked great, for these conditions up to 25 Mb / s, now 3-5 Mb / s.

You choose the equipment because you pay for it, choosing a MiFi mobile router for home applications is a mistake. The consultant has no right to push him unless you wanted cheap, i.e. for PLN 10 / month. But these types of devices can be bought for around PLN 100-120, in addition they are better Huawei E5577, E5573 or MF-910. The latter two are on offer from Plus. LTE desktop routers are used for home applications, the minimum is B315 (worth PLN 300) and the best equipment with LTE-A, Plus's offer is E5186 and recently DWR-960. Equipment worth about PLN 500-600, aggregating two LTE bands. You are within the LTE-A Plus range. LTE1800Aero2 and LTE800Sferii operate on the BTS Plus Plus Rachocin. the antenna from the link is electro-junk not even worth one zloty. At Allegro, such offers and companies are bypassed. The description is a steak of marketing nonsense and the profit sucked from your finger. You have a router without aggregation of LTE bands. On LTE1800 aero2 has 20MHz bands in MIMO and DL up to 150Mbps, on LTE800Sferia only 5MHz band and DL up to 37.5Mbps. In practice, the speeds depend on the signal parameters but above all on the BTS load. The range on LTE800 is larger so you can connect with this band. On DWR-932 there is probably no choice of LTE1800 bands or LTE800 (check the menu) You would have to do tests under BTS and see how LTE1800Aero2 works. For testing you can use MiFi or a phone with LTE and the Network Cell Info application, shows BTS data and signal parameters, and speedest tests will show how much can be achieved on LTE1800 with the correct LTE1800 signal and how busy the BTS is. Plus does not guarantee speed, as a rule the internet works well for two weeks (probably give priority on BTS), after this time it varies. looks now DL and UL speedtest?

Well, I don't think I have to fight. Unfortunately. You're right, there is probably no way to change the bands. Shackle in options and I did not find. And as for testing under BTS, I'll do it some week.
    DL around 1-6 Mb / s UL also differs 1 -3 Mb / s
Is there any chance to improve the signal, some antenna? Insight will help in this situation?

If you connect to the LTE1800Aero2 transmitter, do these antennas amplify the signal?

The first is a broadband antenna, it has a minimum gain of 1800MHz. Even the Chinese who produce them do not give a profit of 16dBi. It's already the work of the seller who 'tunes' these antennas by sucking the profit from your finger. Single antenna, you need two for LTE. I do not recommend, the antenna has a higher gain on 800MHz and will connect you with the free LTE800Sferii and LTE1800 on DWR-932 will not force you. is a Chinese product imported wholesale by Lechpol, generally works on LTE1800. I do not recommend a seller from N. Jastrząbki, uses intrusive marketing and this antenna is in the offer of many sellers.

Can you recommend something? What would improve the signal somehow? As I said before, I don't know anything about it, so I'm asking for some advice.

    Hello.
I was close to the transmitter and DL indicated about 50-60 Mb / s.

In the afternoon 16-18. Yes under this transmitter.
Later, the test was done in Gojsk, a bit further, about 80 MB / s

Adding LTE1800 Aero2 to BTS Rachocin resulted in nice speeds. It remains to buy the antenna, connectors for DWR-932 and use the LTE1800Aero2 from this BTS.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around enhancing the LTE signal for a D-Link DWR 932 mobile modem using an external antenna. The user seeks advice on the compatibility of a TS9 connector and the effectiveness of a 2x22 dBi antenna, given a weak signal strength of -100 dBm and a distance of approximately 10 km from the transmitter. Responses highlight the importance of selecting antennas based on the specific LTE band in use, with suggestions to avoid low-quality antennas and consider better alternatives. Recommendations include dual-band antennas optimized for LTE1800 and LTE800 frequencies, as well as advice on testing signal strength under different conditions. Users emphasize the need for proper equipment suited for home applications rather than mobile routers.
