    Hello,

I installed a skoda symphony mp3 radio for my skoda 2k3 year with a 1/2 fis counter

It causes me a communication error with the radio such as below. I suspect that with 1/2 Fis I will not see anything on the meter when it comes to radio messages but I do not understand why this error. The radio works technically flawlessly, but after locking the car it does not turn off automatically. I do not know if this is to be the case or if the radio coding has an impact on it. The radio turns off after removing the key, but you can turn it back on and leave it there by accident. From what I read, thanks to the correct coding, I will not have to enter the radio code anymore with the possible disconnection of the battery. .

What coding should I use to stop the bug? Of course, everything is attached to the original installation

Below, errors from CAN, meter and radio

Since you say that you will turn them on after removing the key, you probably have them connected wrong.

It must be K derived otherwise it would not communicate with the radio.
Coding has nothing to do with the radio code.
If you replaced the meter with the radio, it would not prefer the code.
What was on the old radio?
There were also these errors, could you turn on without a key?
There should be a constant plus and plus after inserting the key into the ignition, i.e. S contact.
Communication with the radio, meter or CAN gateway that is in the meter is after K.
There should be outputs from the radio Enable, Clock, Data from displaying messages in the meter.

    These radios have such options.

The old radio was out of the factory and did not work and the excitation cable, i.e. the K line, was not cut.

I have everything connected to the factory ankles, so it probably should be. The old radio also crashed the error of lack of communication with the radio.

From what I read from Can.

Having a counter of 1/2 fis I won't see these messages anyway?

That's the question now. Do I have to additionally connect the meter to the radio with additional wires or is the topic about choosing the right radio encoding and the problem? What else can I gain by dealing with this non-communication error? Will comfort disconnect the radio or will the radio hover work with increasing speed?

And as for remembering the code, today I installed the cruise control and unfastened the clamp, and after connecting I turned on the radio and did not call the code. So I think the counter has written the radio code.

Give a photo of the radio sockets and stickers with their description.
Comfort there is nothing to the radio.
Reporting should work from Gall's signal.

As soon as the radio goes out, I'll take a picture. I don't want to damage anything when taking out without them.

Gala snooping works with the current encoding. Generally, I found something like this on the Internet. So it actually looks like everything is working even though it shows errors and the coding is wrong. Will anything else work after I deal with this bug and change the encoding? I note that I have a 1/2 Fis Can counter, so I don't think I will see RDS messages on it.

Try changing the encoding on the radio from 00201 to 00205.
According to my descriptions, 5 is responsible for communication via CAN with a large display on the console, but I have not met something like this yet, so maybe it is a mistake in the description.

I have a working changer and 4 speakers - 2 front and 2 rear as standard.

So I guess more encoding 00407 if I'm not mistaken. And the large display is the one, i.e. full FIS and I have 1/2 FIS (half of the display is messages and half of the indicator)

So I will try to give this encoding of course, but I guess there won't be any messages.

Added after 6 [hours] 24 [minutes]:

I set the encoding to 00407 and the errors on the can line and on the meter in Vagu disappeared forever. The radio works as it worked before, so the problem is solved :) Altogether a little art for art but 2 bugs have disappeared though :)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the installation of a Skoda Symphony MP3 radio in a Skoda Octavia I (2k3 model) with a 1/2 FIS counter, which is causing communication errors. The user reports that the radio does not turn off automatically after locking the car and seeks advice on the correct coding to resolve the issue. Responses suggest checking the wiring connections, particularly the K line for communication, and adjusting the radio coding. A successful solution was found by changing the radio encoding from 00201 to 00407, which eliminated the CAN line errors and allowed the radio to function properly without requiring a code after battery disconnection.
