    Hello.
Some time ago I bought an Octavie 2 car from 2005. Recently, on the occasion of another repair, a mechanic friend connected the car to a computer in order to make a car scan. The computer spat the following errors:

    No Faults Found
or DTCs not supported by controller
    or a communication error occurred

    -------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------

The above errors return immediately after being deleted. Auto in factory configuration Radio Skoda Stream. Everything works in the car - also this unfortunate radio. It works after turning the ignition switch, it turns off after removing the key from the ignition switch, steering wheel control works. Opening the door also raises the radio somehow. I added a yatour changer emulator to the radio, which also works without any problems, including steering wheel control. Original harnesses at the radio, not cut, not soldered. When you try to connect the computer to the radio, the radio turns off, the display shows DIAG, but the computer does not want to connect, spitting out "No Faults Found or DTCs not supported by controller or a communication error occurred". I understand that it also crashes Gateway errors. Unfortunately, I fell when looking for a solution to this problem, hence the request to honorable forum members for help. Where to look for the cause ...

If you didn't have communication with the radio, you wouldn't have this part:
    Part No SW: 1Z0 035 161 A HW: 01.01.01.03

You are probably right, although "004 - No Signal / Communication - Intermittent" might suggest that the problem is intermittent?

Refer to this error above, it is most likely responsible for the problem with the radio.

How everything works is use a car, why stress?

I am just interested. You could expand your thought. Where to look. Damage to the cable at the gateway? Tarnished contacts. Damaged radio or gateway itself? But it would probably give some additional symptoms and not just the error itself ... Please, give me further suggestions ...

andrzej20001 - the car is in use, but the stress remains. Sculpting in my free time so that it doesn't turn out that something will fall out soon ... after all, these errors did not arise by themselves and there is a reason somewhere.

It is possible that a different radio is inserted than the one with which the car left the factory, someone was fumbling in the radio's memory or something buried in the gateway, e.g. something in the coding. You can probably fix it, but if there are no negative effects, it makes no sense to push yourself into costs because it will not be a penny thing, especially adding time.

    Hello.
Apparently so, but maybe with the help of honorable forum members we will be able to solve this problem somehow.

The car is rather factory-set - I don't know if there was anything buried. Radio Stream, the first old one, so it would correspond to the car's vintage. Gateway is also quite old. In this radio, possibly the code is generated from what I know, based on the numbers from the factory sticker, so I also exclude digging around with memory to remove it. Unless there was some other fault that I don't know anything about ...

Yesterday a friend shared a cable with me and I had a long time with VCDS. And so (I do not know if it is important, maybe he writes nonsense):

The radio displays the VIN of the vehicle correctly through the hidden menu, the ignition on / off works correctly, the steering wheel control works. The information from PDC, climatronics and other to be displayed is also displayed correctly. As I understand it, communication flies through the gateway, so since the radio displays these things, the problem of loose wires probably disappears.

By attaching to the radio module, VCDS correctly detects the radio driver. You can enter measuring blocks and display their content, you can enter coding and adaptation, and also correctly perform output test. However, when I try to read the error codes, I get the message No Faults Found or DTCs not supported by controller or a communication error occurred. When trying to delete errors anyway, it receives information that the request to delete the codes is not accepted by the controller and after a while that the controller does not respond. After exiting the error reset dialog, vcds connects to the controller again and identifies it correctly.

    Any damage to the radio?

Have you tried to disconnect this changer emulator from the radio? If not, try it.

Hello. The km counter when the VCDSA was connected for the first time showed that the error was registered before connecting the changer emulator. Additionally, in the radio measuring blocks this emulator is correctly identified as the active changer. Nevertheless, disconnecting it from the radio did not change the matter. The above-mentioned error is still there. Best regards...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2005 Skoda Octavia II experiencing CAN Gateway errors and communication issues with the factory-installed Skoda Stream radio. The user reports that despite the radio functioning normally, error codes related to communication persist after being cleared. Various suggestions are made, including checking for intermittent signal issues, potential damage to cables or contacts, and the possibility of a non-factory radio being installed. The user confirms that the radio displays the vehicle's VIN correctly and that the steering wheel controls function as intended. Attempts to disconnect a Yatour changer emulator did not resolve the issue, and further investigation into the radio's coding and gateway functionality is suggested.
