Hi, I have a laptop "Lenovo T430s" and there is such a problem with it, it is impossible to turn off the airplane mode. Exactly like in this video:
Airplane Mode Not Turning Off Fixed Windows 10! 2016

I searched almost all google and the system is completely built from scratch. Reinstalling drivers for WIFi does not help (because it is about turning on WiFi, you cannot turn on wireless transmission when airplane mode is on). Do you know if such a problem may be on the side of the WiFi card and not the software itself?

Ehh this W10. I had the same, but with the matrix backlight. Only one update in a row fixed it ...

@nici I downloaded Ubuntu and Linux Mint on a USB flash drive and I ran the same problem, which is rather a hardware fault, not a system fault.

And you see, you didn't write it, and that changes things.

The computer doesn't have some kind of switch or combination of Fn + XX?

    In my Lenovo I have Fn + F7, e.g.

Yes, there is a switch. It turned out that the switch tape was slightly pulled out, it is already working ;)

If someone is looking, here is the documentation pdf .

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Lenovo T430s laptop experiencing an issue where airplane mode cannot be turned off, preventing WiFi activation. Initial troubleshooting included checking ACPI drivers and reinstalling WiFi drivers, but these did not resolve the issue. Users suggested potential hardware faults, as the problem persisted even when testing with Linux distributions. A key point raised was the possibility of a physical switch or function key combination (e.g., Fn + F7) being involved. Ultimately, the author discovered that a switch tape was slightly pulled out, which, once fixed, restored functionality.
