    Hi
I have a problem that irritates me more and more. Initially it was sporadic, and now it occurs daily. Well, after turning on the laptop, I can not see or cannot connect to the wifi network. After clicking "connect" several times, sometimes it works. Sometimes I have to turn off the wifi card in the network options, after a while turn on and then connects to wifi. I thought maybe windows 10 updated the driver, but not. All the time the same driver is. I didn't do any windows updates at that time. Any other device in the home connects immediately. I have "solved" this problem now: when I finish work, before shutting down the system and laptop, I turn off the wifi card. The next day, after turning on the laptop and loading the system, I turn on the wifi card and ... connects to the network the first time. It annoys me a bit, I would like everything to connect immediately after turning on the laptop and the first connection. The "connect automatically" option does not help. I always have to turn the card off and on. I tried to update the driver but it says that I have current. What to do ?

does it have to be version 2.x? I have version 4.x on the disc from some newspapers
I am asking because I managed (at my age it is a feat) to find the version 2.x but during installation I write that some fremwork 3.5 is required and if I download it when I click, I write that it cannot download :(
    can try this 4.x?

4 I was able to install it and it looks like this: (my network is Janusz and grazyna) please do not laugh at the network I thought of it :)

There can be several reasons for this. M.in:
    -weak signal
-card driver does not work 100% correctly with this particular router (what?), given encryption, on a given channel.

Let him write, and if you don't check another one, you won't find out.

Personally, I have a Belkin G PCI-E card that works 100% correctly under linux and behaves like that under W7 - it connects as it pleases, wi-fi sees once, sometimes not.
By. me OS driver conflict with ... router.
+ you have windows 10 (in other words - "there may be problems") ;)

In this version you will also need fremwork - besides above version 2 the program is paid (probably trial).

You can manually download the appropriate framework, but @bogiebog it's probably about
    signal strength
    channel
    other disruptive networks
If you are able to eliminate these factors / provide helpful information, then you don't need inssider.

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

What you can do now is change the channel and disable encryption diagnostics.
    And the swap driver.

I was able to install version 4 because I have buy versions from some newspapers. I uploaded the scan above but what does this scan mean? I don't know what's going on.
I changed the channel to the one that was least crowded. The application provided by phone and what channel it was and I did not know if it was good.
On the other hand, if jeslikanal would be bad, why do others connect? on logic they would also have problems and everyone else (laptop, phone) connects immediately :)

thanks for this link about the drivers but I will show what else I am so weak to look for drivers myself, I will think about something and old man without a computer :)

In the router, in the WIFI settings, change the channel width to 20Mhz.

What other values can you choose from under "channel width"?

    No, it's only 20 and 40
I changed to 20, restarted my laptop, can't see wifi at all.
    So that's not it :(
after switching the card off and on, he can immediately see the network and log in nicely.
I would try with this driver but I will not find it. Would somebody link my driver for my card? What would I have to provide?

    I have such equipment:

No WiFi Connection on Laptop Startup: Troubleshooting Connection Issues, Driver Updates & Settings

drivers that I currently use are downloaded from the laptop manufacturer's website by the SNID (acer) code so they are exactly for this model. After uploading from windows 10's hand, despite the windows recognized the card, I dropped the wedges of the manufacturer's drivers.

I was also afraid of this mule because I saw how it goes on laptops (I used windows7 before) but after changing the disk of a bad word I can not say everything is in a fraction of a second, only the wifi is not surprising for 1 time wrrrr

Something occurred to me. And can it be that the newer driver is not the best and has errors? maybe some previous one would be better?
Secondly, my driver shows that it is from April and that there are no newer ones but ... on the card manufacturer's website it is probably newer
    http://www.atherosdrivers.info/2017/06/atheros-qca9377-driver-win-10-v1200297.html
maybe try to download it is meaning?

    updates for this device:
Unfortunately, after downloading a newer driver from the card manufacturer's website, it turned out that there is no setup icon in hand. I read and know that you need to enter the path to this catalog and to update it. The problem is that when I give the path to the directory in the driver update option, the system prints out that the best driver is already installed :(
I remembered that I also stopped windows updates (usually updates silent) but since I have fast SSD I turned them on. Sucks updates can help.

Update: (Maybe someone will be useful)
I did something like that. I uninstalled the driver + software from the network card (I had it from the laptop manufacturer's website) and then reinstalled the card but gave the path only to the driver, I did not install the software (everything from the laptop manufacturer's website). So far, half a day, yesterday and today it works every morning after turning on the laptop and even connects itself. We'll see what happens next.

And in the first post or the mru-mru about this manufacturer's software, so that it would not be too easy to solve this problem?

No, but for me as a 60-year-old layman, there is no difference between a Windows driver and a manufacturer driver (often clicked through setup and automatically included software). However, as it turns out, there is a difference. For lack of knowledge, I did not give everything exactly because I had no idea that it matters. The most important thing was that it succeeded :)
    Thanks anyway for the advice.

FAQ

TL;DR: A forum expert lists 3 causes for startup Wi‑Fi failures and advises to "swap driver" and adjust settings; removing OEM utilities fixed it. [Elektroda, safbot1st, post #16856607]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps Windows laptop users fix no‑Wi‑Fi‑on‑boot issues quickly and reliably.

Quick Facts

Why does my laptop not see Wi‑Fi right after boot?

Windows boots, but the adapter fails to initialize or roam to your SSID. The network may appear only after you toggle the Wi‑Fi card. This pattern points to driver initialization problems or configuration conflicts rather than a dead router. Other devices working fine supports this. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856548]

What quick fix can I try before deeper changes?

Toggle the Wi‑Fi adapter off and on in Network settings. Many users regain the SSID instantly and can connect. This confirms the radio and credentials are fine, and shifts focus to drivers or startup timing. It’s a fast triage step you can repeat safely. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856548]

How do I check channel congestion if inSSIDer 2.x won’t install?

inSSIDer 2.x requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. If installation blocks, enable .NET 3.5 in Windows Features or use an installed inSSIDer 4.x build to scan nearby networks. Both approaches let you identify crowded channels and interference quickly. [Elektroda, hermes-80, post #16856617]

Should I use 20 MHz or 40 MHz channel width?

If stability is the goal, test 20 MHz first. In the case discussed, switching to 20 MHz caused the SSID to vanish until the adapter was toggled, revealing a driver or roaming quirk. Revert if visibility drops, then proceed with driver actions. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856680]

How do I reinstall the Wi‑Fi driver without the OEM utility?

Do a driver‑only install; this resolved startup failures for the OP two mornings in a row (100% success). 1. Uninstall the Wi‑Fi driver and the vendor utility. 2. Reboot, then install only the driver (Device Manager > Update driver > Browse). 3. Reconnect and test cold boots. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16867327]

Windows says my driver is up to date—what next?

Ignore the "best driver already installed" message and try a different known‑good version. Windows Update is conservative and may not pick an optimal build for your router. Manually swapping to an alternate driver often restores reliable association at boot. [Elektroda, safbot1st, post #16856607]

Can a driver–router mismatch really cause this?

Yes. The same adapter can work perfectly with one OS or router and fail with another. An experienced user reports flawless Linux behavior but flaky Windows connectivity on a Belkin card—classic mismatch symptoms. Driver selection matters. [Elektroda, safbot1st, post #16856607]

Is Windows 10 itself part of the problem?

It can be. The thread notes Windows 10 can introduce networking quirks. That does not mean your install is broken; it means you may need a specific driver build or to remove OEM utilities to achieve stable auto‑connect on boot. [Elektroda, safbot1st, post #16856607]

How do I install a driver from a folder that lacks Setup.exe?

Use Device Manager: right‑click the Wi‑Fi adapter, choose Update driver, select Browse my computer, and point to the folder with the INF files. If Windows blocks the change, try “Let me pick” and select the model manually. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856680]

What diagnostic changes should I try on the router?

Start with RF hygiene: change the channel and temporarily disable complex encryption to isolate variables, then restore security. As one expert says, "change the channel and disable encryption diagnostics. And the swap driver." Re‑test after each step. [Elektroda, safbot1st, post #16856625]

Why doesn’t “Connect automatically” help at startup?

Auto‑connect only triggers after the adapter is up and scanning. If the driver delays radio initialization, Windows has nothing to connect to yet. That’s why toggling the adapter works, and why a cleaner driver often fixes auto‑connect. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856548]

If other devices connect fine, is my router off the hook?

Not entirely. Other clients working shows the router is up, but your laptop can still suffer from driver–router interoperability issues. That’s why channel tweaks and driver swaps are effective in this scenario. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856637]

What is Atheros QCA9377?

It’s a Qualcomm Atheros Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth chipset used in many laptops. The OP referenced trying a newer QCA9377 Windows 10 driver when troubleshooting. Matching the right driver to this chipset can resolve boot‑time Wi‑Fi issues. [Elektroda, Monangel, post #16856680]

What is inSSIDer and why use it?

inSSIDer is a Wi‑Fi scanner that maps nearby networks, channels, and signal strength. Use it to pick a less congested channel and verify signal quality before changing drivers. It’s a go‑to first step in RF troubleshooting. [Elektroda, bogiebog, post #16856567]
