In the home cinema you have IN sockets, connect in accordance with the colors, set the appropriate input and should roll. You will only have sound on the optical cable.

If the home theater works properly with the TV, after connecting the PS2 to the home cinema to the VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN L / P sockets, the PS2 signal should appear.

Something seems to me that in the VIDEO PS2 settings should be changed.

I do not have. The ps2 options are just a video out option to choose from the RGB or component (trying to do it on the feel).

Unfortunately, setting the optical on in the console options also gives me a poor result ... there is only a sound without an image. Something feels that without a special converter it will not move ...

The audio system does not process / convert the signal, i.e. connecting the equipment under av you will only receive a signal on av out. The cheapest option is to buy a component cable for ps2.

I've read that your tv has av:
Composite input (AV) 1 (in use as a component Y)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a PlayStation 2 (PS2) Slim console to a Samsung UE32K5600 TV using an optical home cinema cable. The user reports that while sound is transmitted, there is no video output. Various suggestions are made, including checking the connections, ensuring the correct input settings on the home cinema system, and adjusting the PS2's video output settings. The user attempts to use both a standard composite cable with a SCART adapter and an optical Prolink digital cable but continues to experience issues. It is suggested that a component cable for the PS2 may be necessary, as the current setup does not seem to support video signal processing through the audio system.
