    Hello.
TV Philips 32PFL3008H / 12 VES2.2e LA. No backlight. There is picture and sound. The LED flashes 10 times on startup. Where to start diagnostics? Any common faults?
    Best wishes
    Bartholomew

You need to check whether there is power to the backlight. If so, the leds should be checked.

Unfortunately, the voltage on the backlight LEDs when starting the TV is about 40 V and drops to 0V. So rather the fault of the power supply itself.
    Any advice?

What are these leds? For what voltage?
The LEDs have a lens glued on them. I don't really get to get to them without taking my lens off. Can I just apply voltage to the entire tape input (e.g. 12V or 24V?). Because unfortunately I do not have a 40V power supply.

The leds are at 3V or 6V. I don't know what TVs are on this. I will scrape some paint off the path.

There are two pins on Leds: Vout and FB1s. After turning on the TV, Vout drops from 100V to 0V in about a minute.

Probably I noticed damage to the D314 element. What's more, the R337 element instead of the 15R value has 100R (values from the schematic and PCB).
Even though the TV has not been serviced or dismantled since it was new, you can see traces of amateur soldering there. The R337 element is literally sealed with tin, not soldered like the other elements :)

What's more, the backlight blinks for a fraction of a second when turning on the TV from the remote control. It blinks twice at intervals of about 5 seconds. When connected to the power supply, they also flash for a fraction of a second once. Then there is a voltage of about 40V for the input of the entire LED strip.

So I consider the diodes to be operational.

I am asking for help, because this is my grandparents' TV, if I do not fix it this week, they will kill each other :D
If possible, I would ask the moderator to move the topic to the website section, where I hope it will be more popular :)

    PS
Unfortunately, the elements of D314 and R337 after replacement, and the situation remains unchanged. The backlight still only blinks twice for a split second.

I found a solution. It turned out that the backlight LED strip was damaged (as suggested by the colleague above). After replacement, everything works as it should.
I consider the topic to be resolved, so I close it.
    Regards and thank you

Topic summary

The Philips 32PFL3008H / 12 VES2.2e LA TV exhibits a no backlight issue while still producing sound and picture. The LED indicator flashes 10 times on startup, suggesting a potential power supply fault. Initial diagnostics involve checking power to the backlight and the LEDs themselves. Subsequent investigation revealed that the backlight LED strip was damaged, which was confirmed by voltage readings dropping from 100V to 0V and visible signs of amateur soldering on the circuit board. After replacing the damaged LED strip, the TV functioned correctly, resolving the issue.
