    Hello,

I am asking for help with a problem with a laptop Samsung NP300V5A-S03PL. It is about headphones (any) - when connected to the computer, the system does not detect headphones. The jack connector works generally because the sound is transferred to the speakers and headphones at the same time - i.e. as if the headphones were additional external speakers. However, it does not detect headphones as separate devices.

I have reinstalled the audio drivers (Realtek HD audio). I checked the device manager (no problems detected). It is also not a matter of activating the device in the audio devices tab, because there it simply does not detect headphones. I would add that it is about every type of headphones and before everything worked correctly (it just stopped working one day).

Has anyone had a similar problem and maybe they have any ideas?

    greetings

Yes, the socket is physically damaged. If nothing happens despite the changes in the drivers - the socket can be replaced.

Thanks for the answer. And does nothing change the fact that the socket carries sound, i.e. after connecting the headphones, the sound is in the headphones and in the laptop's built-in speakers?

And the second question - is it possible to replace the jack socket at all (probably the whole motherboard needs?) Motherboard: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO. LTD. 300V3A / 300V4A / 300V5A.

    greetings

So the socket does not work, i.e. it should, i.e. it does not switch the output.
