Hello in the car, the engine controller was replaced because the old one was damaged and a certain spec reset both the ecu and cim, then the keys were thrown away and a problem arose because the old keys cannot be coded. Is it possible to remove the mechanical key from the controller's memory? because I don't know what's in it. On 99% of the cim it has a programmed key number from the new ecu and therefore I will not add the old keys because the immo code has changed.

Hello in astra h, you will not write back old keys, you need to replace the crypto

You are sure, it seems to me that if I had the correct mechanical key, the old keys will be added. I'm 90% sure I've already done that.

    There is a PCF7941AT transponder

Okay, but when you write that you replaced, you reset the ecu and cim, is it not like it was from another car

It's not me, but ok. Just that the immo key is generated on the basis of a mechanical key that is 100% saved in cim and I do not know if it is also in ecu because if it was, I have the old ecu and bin from it. I connect the old ecu and cim "gets the key from the old ecu" then I have the opportunity to view it and upload it to the cim and add the old keys. Only the old ECU is damaged and the memory transfer or key reading from the file remains. I am not 100% sure if it will work. Cim can be logged in from another car, provided that you have a pin and a mechanical key and the keys can then be added again.

Interesting?. keys erased from immo with transponder cr. you will not write with the cable.

So there are new transponders or a key reset.

vectra c has pcf 7946 and this is a completely different key if something went wrong during the CIM programming procedure, there is no option to add old keys.

It seems to me that I will add but new or cleaned.

Will anyone explain why the keys with the transponder 7946
will add again and 7941 not? The layout application is identical.

New for sure. 7946 are spare, you will also write clean. New, around PLN 30 is it worth it?

Hello, the problem is over again, and I was right, the keys can be re-coded to the car they came from. Thanks for the hints.

What were you doing? tech2 definitely saves the vehicle configuration on the card.

    Op-com did it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenges faced after replacing the ECU in a 2006 Astra H 1.9DT, particularly regarding key coding and immobilizer (immo) code changes. The user inquires about the possibility of removing the old mechanical key from the ECU's memory after the keys were discarded. Responses indicate that the old keys cannot be re-coded due to the new ECU and CIM (Column Integrated Module) setup, which requires a new crypto key. The PCF7941AT transponder is mentioned, with references to its compatibility with other models like the Vectra. It is noted that while the keys can be re-coded to the original vehicle, issues may arise if the CIM programming was incorrect. The discussion concludes with confirmation that new or cleaned transponders can be used for key re-coding.
