Hello, when I have the car radio turned on and I turn on the video recorder, the radio suddenly loses its waves. What could be the reason?

Most likely the device's inverter is causing interference.

Either a better converter or linear power supply.

Linear will not be bothersome somehow because this video recorder probably does not download too much.

For a test, you can also quickly wrap the device in aluminum foil and see if it gives way.

Power supply inside or on the lighter?

Give a 12v stabilizer at the input.

I had a similar problem with GPS coverage in navi.

When I turned on the recorder, navi (added to the glass) did not catch the satellites.

    The stabilizer did it positively.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the interference experienced when a dash cam is activated while the car radio is on, leading to a loss of radio waves. The primary cause identified is the inverter of the dash cam, which can disrupt radio signals. Suggested solutions include using a better converter or a linear power supply, which is less likely to cause interference. A temporary test involves wrapping the device in aluminum foil. Additionally, the use of a 12V stabilizer at the input is recommended, as it has resolved similar issues with GPS devices in the past.
