    Good morning everyone,

I am asking you for help in diagnosing the problem on the Saab 9-3 '06 ICM3 car radio / display. When it is turned on, a high-frequency uniform squeak appears from the display area. Its volume increases as the brightness of the backlight of the dashboard with the display increases. Over time, when the radio is turned on, i.e. about 10 min, the squeak volume decreases a little but is still audible.
Today I noticed one more regularity, namely after entering the tunnel, the squeak volume decreases significantly, so it may be related to the FM signal, however, anticipating the questions, the squeak is as much on FM as on CD or AUX.
Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

The source of the squeak may be a converter supplying the LCD backlight

Thanks for the answer. What could be the reason? Maybe the inverter choke is poorly wound?

Hello, did you handle this screech from the inverter?
I just have such art inside there is not much to attach to.
Certainly the squeal comes from the display inverter. For cold solder, everything is ok.
    Is it good to exchange?

    Hey,

it can be said that the problem has been solved. The squeak came from a small spot (visible in the photo - 330) on the display board

With a stronger touch this "housing" slightly cracked so I advise you to be careful. I flooded the "drop" through the crack and waited for it to dry. The squeal stopped.
I know it would be best to replace the item but I have not found it anywhere :)

    Regards
