    Hello!
I have a huge problem, I bought an Xbox 360 wireless with a PC adapter, but when I plugged it and installed the drivers from the manufacturer, the controller still appears in the device manager as "Unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)". I downloaded drivers from Microsoft, installed from CD, tried all the methods that are on the net and nothing works, I even tried to set this "unknown device" as "Xbox Peripherals" as advised in some guide, but I do not have such an option at all under the controller position. I have Windows 10, all updates are installed on a regular basis, so I do not know what the problem may be, I spent PLN 200 on a controller and I cannot use it. I am asking you for help in solving the problem, because it is slowly getting gray from burying all these options. : /

Under windows 10 it should rather be all Plug & Play, or the system would download the drivers itself. Here with the error "request device descriptor failed" not the drivers will be rather a problem. I am also surprised by the exclamation mark next to the PS / 2 keyboard. Do you have one at all? As for me, it can be both a hardware problem and a "magic" windows 10. Other devices in this port to which you connect the receiver work? What is your entire computer configuration?

If I connect the phone or USB flash drive to any USB input, I have no problem with it, only the problem pops up with the controller; /
    As for the computer:
    Processor: Intel Core i5 6600 3.3GHz
    RAM: 8GB
    System: Windows 10 64 bit
    BIOS version 1.0
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB graphics

I wrote above that the only keyboard I have connected to is the USB one, so I do not know where the information about the PS / 2 keyboard comes from: /

In fact, I didn't notice. Enter the device ID of this virtual "keyboard".

To install the Intel Chipset Driver from the motherboard manufacturer's website: Link If it does not help, update the BIOS. Does the receiver work on another computer?

There is no answer after connecting the laptop, but I did not install the manufacturer's drivers, but the controller is new, I just bought it today; / Download all these drivers from this link?

I downloaded the last item "Intel Chipset Driver" installed and still the same, I generally use MSI Live Update so, it probably was there, but after reinstalling nothing, try to update the BIOS?

It looks like the receiver is faulty. Check it on another operating system.
