The TL866 reigns supreme among the universal programmers on the Chinese auction site. According to one of the Polish suppliers, the list is as follows: supported layouts

I would like to know your opinions about the above-mentioned programmer. If someone has: what is the issue of programming speed, reliability, cooperation with new operating systems, firmware update (update of the list of supported systems). In general, I am interested in all the pros and cons, as well as alternative proposals (you can get the above mentioned for the amount of about PLN 150 (free shipping).

I myself am curious about user opinions. When buying, pay attention to the accessories. The cheaper versions come with basic equipment, while the more expensive versions have a number of adapters. It is worth considering what you will need it for and buy it immediately with the appropriate adapters.

    Best regards!

I bought this programmer in the CS version, but it is not difficult to find how to convert it to version A, only in this case, if you need an ICSP connector, you can do it yourself manually. Using this programmer I had no problems, not even those bones that are not on the list. So what can I say, probably the programmer that is used in most websites. As for the present, a KBC programmer, such as SVOD, will definitely be useful, if you want to tinker with laptops, an ordinary tl866 will do for andruino.

I wonder if there is any way to get this programmer to handle chips:

    - 27c400 (this EPROM has 40 pins, so it will enter the socket, but not on list of supported chips )
    http://www.meditronik.com.pl/doc/plus/27c400.pdf

    - 27c800 (this EPROM has 42 pins, so it will not enter the socket anymore, it is not on list of supported chips , and I do not see any adapter for DIP42 anywhere
    http://www.eliptor.pl/pub/pdf/St/M27C800.pdf

Would you be able to help me verify that I will program at least 27c400 with this programmer?

Programmers that will certainly handle the 27c800 are available at prices of about PLN 2,000, and this definitely exceeds my capabilities (it will not pay off).

I will be grateful for your help.

I found information on how to program the mentioned EPROMs using TL866 (so I will probably buy it)

From what I can see, on ali, the programmer with adapters costs the same as the programmer and a set of adapters separately. In general, adapters are expensive (as much as a programmer).

I don't want to start a new topic. Is he comparable to xthreshold?
