Hello, I have a problem with my Passat b6 2006, 2.0tdi. After starting the car after a few seconds, the car goes out and the dashboard battery indicator jumps out, no charging. Auto at rest is 12.00V, and during operation it reaches 14.00V, if the problem can be alternator wear ??

When the car goes out, the indicator light will be on. There is no charging then. I don't remember how much there should be in this car, but most of it is around 14.5v. Maybe the regulator ends.

I would be looking for another reason, there could be charging with the engine off. There is no problem here from the alternator current.

Buddy mehan15 , why the exclamation points in the subject? The engine goes out, after which the alternator does not rotate (because it is not driven from the engine) and the charge indicator begins to burn exactly as before the ignition. Colleagues above are right, the problem is not the lack of charging, visit a mechanic, let him check such small things as fuel supply, the presence of voltage where it is necessary, etc.

if not the alternator, what could be a problem, how can you still check something? I will emphasize that after a dozen or so attempts, the car does not go out and you can move it, I traveled 25km, and it was the same situation at night and in the morning

After starting the car, turn on the lights and other loads and then measure the voltage on the battery. If you have 14 above 14V then do not look here, you have another problem 100% not charging. If the battery is bad, you won't start it at all. If no charging, the starter will not turn off because it lacks battery power because it is not charged. What you write disables your suspected power failure.

So I'll be looking for luck and if not, I'm looking for an electrician who will check everything, thank you very much though I know that it is not the alternator's fault
