Hello, quick question whether in a 92 'car exactly Jaguar Xj40 with a standard cassette radio we are able to connect some Bluetooth module to listen to music wirelessly without distorting its quality, there is no possibility to replace the radio with one with a Bluetooth function or a transmitter for a lighter, it's about inserting a module, I don't know and I don't know if it's possible, that's why I'm asking ;)

The transmitter you are writing about worsens the quality, mainly the noise level - for me it is unacceptable - at least I have not encountered such. I'd rather put some ready bluetooth module inside for a dozen or so zlotys, but a beginner can't handle it.

Have you checked if this radio has any entries in the back? For example a changer?
One could connect a BT receiver there.

The car has a CD changer as standard

If there is such an option, I would commission it to someone who is not a beginner

See how it is there and maybe you'll get a changer emulator, which can connect to BT.

Is this device connected to the radio or changer?

Instead of a changer. I had something like this in a steward's coat. The radio then sees the albums in the phone or folders on the SD card as separate discs.

Oh, and how about quality? It distorts quality, I care about it not being so, thanks for your help ;)

If you can comprehend it as a changer then there should be no degradation of sound. Possible connection of such a module with a line input / changer etc. (rather optics is not in this year / model) I think can be overlooked in quality issues. Bluetooth is a digital transmission and not analog / FM like transmitters in a lighter etc.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around adding Bluetooth functionality to a 1992 Jaguar XJ40 equipped with a standard cassette radio. Users express concerns about sound quality degradation when using Bluetooth transmitters, suggesting that a dedicated Bluetooth module could be a better solution. It is noted that the car has a CD changer, which may allow for the connection of a Bluetooth receiver or emulator that interfaces with the radio. The consensus is that if the Bluetooth module is connected as a changer, it should not compromise audio quality, as Bluetooth is a digital transmission method, unlike analog FM transmitters.
