    Hello
If the sim card is ok then it does

I suggest temporarily to stick some foam at the SIM reader under the back flap closing the phone, as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSO89qL3Ob0.
If it helps cold solder on the motherboard, how can a friend not be a phone in a series of similar problems - more info here http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/id-2194237/samsung-galaxy-sim-card -detected-reboot.html.
In summary, it can be the fault of the card, software or hardware.

The problem disappeared for a moment after which the same thing appeared again only now that after pressing it does not work anymore

    Added after 38 [minutes]:

After inserting the card, the phone reads for a while for 5 minutes, the range is reachable, you can get through in 5 minutes, the message no SIM card pops up

Dear friend, what I wrote in post 6 is just a hint.
If it worked after pressing it is what it writes about

something does not connect on the album.

    It means that :
    1. You need to undress your phone.
    2. Look for damage, cold solder, cracks, etc. under the microscope.
    3. After finding repair.
    4. Turn and enjoy a working telephone.
If your colleague did not do it, I advise against this.
How are the manual skills, the hands do not shake, high magnification (the bigger the better from 8 to 30x) and the thin needle you can try to get in the contacts in the SIM card slot and gently podokinać sourness may but it does not have to help.
The above-mentioned proposals are made by a friend @zenekxp at my own risk, therefore, I advise against any doubts.

Replace the connector with the reader as this will not help is a typical defect in this model of the damaged board. And the fact that you pressed and worked, it can only be a case, sometimes it would take 2 hours, sometimes 5 minutes and sometimes even all

He has already exchanged the connector, the disc replacement remains.

There is a new thread of this mysterious matter ...

As I mentioned earlier, the sim card reader replaced etc ...
Now I've done an android downgrade to 4.4.2 and nothing ...

I managed to determine that the card
PLAY, PLUS, Virgin Mobile - DO NOT WORK
    and
    ORANGE, T-Mobile, NJU Mobile WORK
tel normally detects them and catches the range on them ...

Is it somehow blocked maybe or how? I do not have an idea anymore ...

    Repair finished :D

The cold February / broken tin turned out to be close to the U203 system on the motherboard.
After examining the plates under the microscope, the cracks were visible without any problem ...

Below I provide photos of how to solve the problem of not reading the sim cards ...
I made a very thin tip for the soldering iron and renewed the connection between the system and the board ..

Unfortunately, I did the pictures after the connections were renewed (I did not think that I would run the photo as soon as I started to work) and photos
I will not include cracked solders ...

    Thank you for every help!

    Greetings.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Samsung Galaxy S4 experiencing issues with SIM card detection. The user initially suspected a damaged SIM card reader, but after performing a factory reset, the problem persisted. Various suggestions were made, including checking for a damaged IMEI, testing with different SIM cards, and temporarily using foam to secure the SIM reader. The user reported intermittent success with the SIM card detection, which eventually failed again. Further investigation revealed that certain SIM cards worked while others did not, leading to speculation about potential blocking or hardware issues. Ultimately, the problem was traced to cold solder connections on the motherboard, which were repaired, restoring functionality.
