Hello, today I bought a Siemens EQ 6 series 300 coffee machine. Pouring water, loose coffee. I opened the side flap of the brewer where there was a small instruction with cleaning, etc. To remove the brewer I noticed that it could not be "unlocked". The circle with the buttonhole on the red switch is as if in the wrong position and the switch cannot be undone, which I just noticed after I unlocked the brewing unit (factory defect? On all videos the buttonhole was in the right position) Following the instructions, I managed to open the mechanism by pressing the right button down (which theoretically was blocked by a faulty padlock button but flew down without any problem and without any force so I thought everything was ok). Everything was fine, however, because despite pressing the right button down, the mechanism slides only half as if something was blocking it, in addition I can not put it back because I can not undo the button with a padlock - strange because it opened without a problem. Exchange machine. Did I do something wrong? This wheel with a hole for a switch cannot be turned or anything.

From what I remember in my simens you have to do it on the switched-off machine but I have a different model.

In your photo you can see such a wajcha in red and above it the symbol of an open and closed padlock, if it does not work, it means that the brewing unit drive has stopped in the wrong position.
On the PCB, find the x9 connector and counting from the right side pins 3 and 4 is the power supply to the 12V brewing motor.
Powered by 9V battery, if the engine starts then combine with polarization and spinning time.
If it does not start, i.e. a fuse in the motor circuit has reacted. The reason may be a dirty brewing unit or resistance to its operation.

So this wheel with a crack on this red is movable and just stopped in the wrong place? The coffee maker didn't make even one coffee because it was just unpacked from the box so I would prefer not to play with this engine. I'll see what they'll tell me tomorrow in the store.

Topic summary

The discussion concerns a Siemens EQ 6 TE603201RW / 09 coffee machine with a problem removing the brew unit. The user reports that the red locking switch on the brewing unit appears misaligned and cannot be unlocked properly, despite following cleaning and removal instructions. The brewing unit mechanism only slides halfway, suggesting it may be stuck or blocked. Responses indicate the brewing unit drive might have stopped in an incorrect position, potentially due to a motor circuit fuse triggered by resistance or dirt in the unit. It is advised to check the 12V brewing motor power supply on the PCB (pins 3 and 4 of the x9 connector) and test motor operation with a 9V battery to diagnose motor or fuse issues. The machine should be switched off during removal attempts. The user prefers not to attempt motor repairs as the machine is new and plans to consult the store. Later posts inquire if the issue was resolved, but no solution is provided.
