Hi, our coffee machine seems to be broken. It worked well for a little over 2 years and last week we noticed a metal wire sticking out from the brewing unit.
It still worked though until today. Today the machine stopped working.
When I removed the brewing unit it turned out that not only the wire is out but the bottom of the unit that was moving is stuck too.
Can anyone advise what to do?

Hello! I have the same problem. Did you find the spare part code / name for this? How did you solve the problem?

    Hello!

You can just replace the whole brewer unit (~$80-100). Bought on Amazon and Siemens sells brewer units.

My solution was to use superglue to attach the broken metal wire to the brewer unit body. It has worked fine now for three weeks.

Thank you for your prompt response, Heikki.
My wire snapped in the middle; so if Siemens can't replace that specifically, then I will solder it together again. If that does not work, then I guess I'll be forced to replace the entire unit.
Will post their feedback here when I receive it.

And how did the brewing issue end, probably bought new?

Topic summary

A Siemens EQ9 300s coffee machine brewing unit developed a fault after two years of use, with a metal wire protruding and the bottom part of the unit becoming stuck. The machine eventually stopped working. Solutions discussed include replacing the entire brewing unit, which costs approximately $80-100 and is available from Siemens or Amazon. A temporary fix involved using superglue to reattach the broken metal wire, which was effective for several weeks. Another approach considered was soldering the snapped wire if Siemens does not supply the wire separately. Additionally, a source for purchasing the specific metal wire spring used in Siemens EQ series brewing units was shared, providing an alternative to full unit replacement.
