If outside, any 18650 will be fine.

Originally there is a Li-Ion or Li-Po battery, so only such are available during replacement, Ni-MH is out of the question because there will be a problem with its charging in the system.

A simple Li-ion battery from the phone (one without built-in electronics) will do. Alternatively, you can use another low-capacity Li-ion cell (e.g. 14650), but you may have trouble placing it in the housing because these are usually cylindrical.

Put outside, can there be a 18650 li-ion 1200mAh battery?
