Hey. I have slightly increased my budget since my last post. I would like to ask if you can get a decent TIG welder for a novice amateur up to PLN 1000? I know that I will still have to add PLN 500 for the cylinder and regulator, but I am aware of it. I want to have TIG and now MMA will have to be enough. I will buy what I need in 2 months.

Could I ask my colleagues for help and assessment?

    Thanks.

    That's what's in the budget.

You can't, why do you need TIG in such a poor version? Isn't it better to buy MIG / MAG?

And will Mig in the PLN 1,000 version be much better?
Can you budge your comment a little bit? Give the MIG example you are talking about?
It seems to me that the answer "no, because not" is none.

I will add from myself that I need this welder to learn welding and then hobby welding a ring. I won't earn it. Size also matters because I don't have a garage or plot.

    Thanks.

It won't be better, but MIG / MAG is easy to use and very versatile, you will easily learn how to weld on it what you can't say about TIG.

In cheap MIGs, I can see that the electrode cable comes out of the housing - without the Euro connector, it only limits me to the MIG.

What is cheap - it's expensive. Can we afford it?

And can we go back to the beginning and look at the subject with the eyes of an ordinary DIY hobbyist? Does every hobbyist have to have equipment for 4-5 thousand PLN to weld a pair of angles - rather not.
I know this saying that the thrifty pays twice but I just can't afford anything more expensive.

We can, why a DIY TIG hobbyist? If you buy a TIG for welding angles, you will cry. I already wrote to you, buy MIG / MAG and enjoy welding and you do not bother with TIG which is not suitable for everyday use by DIY. Even more so for PLN 1,000.

As soon as tig / MMA, wait and collect cash by buying AC. Even a magnum or related Chinese. Very good equipment for amateur. You weld aluminum, alloys.

A PLN 1000 MIG will be better than a poor TIG HF.
Easier to use and more universal, especially for "beginner amateur".

I understand that in order to weld with an electrode I have to change polarization? How do I do it since the cable to the gun is permanently in MIGs for 1000. I did not see another one but I can be wrong.
And so when buying mma / tig, if the gas comes out or something else happens, I will do it anyway.

Nobody has any other ideas / suggestions? Do only 3 people have an idea in the subject?

The welder from the link really looks nice though heavy damn - up to 25kg

Without a dedicated place with the flow can be a problem, although I found a thread here on the forum link and someone is writing that MIG welding with 16B protection at maximum settings and worked. Maybe it's a lottery.

I need to see what's in my fuse box.

The second thing, every page is a different photo of the welder and a different description. How is it possible that the MIG 190 II MMA Digital weighs 9kg?

Possible, tin cans, no welding frame, probably a 5kg spool and a fist-sized heat sink with a capacity of 200A ...

Because there are fakes even of Chinese, Secondly, the welder must weigh light and good, unfortunately Esab or Kemppi, and it costs.
As for installation, it is important not only to protect, but also to thickness 2.5mm2 and length. Of course, you don't have to immediately weld with 3.25mm electrodes to learn, just buy 2.0mm then and the power consumed by the welder will be lower.

Thanks gentlemen for the advice. I'm going semi-automatic. Money almost collected

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a TIG welder for novice users with a budget of PLN 1,000. The two models considered are the Fantasy Model Halo II and Powermat PM-TIG-220G. Participants express skepticism about the practicality of TIG welding for beginners, suggesting that MIG/MAG welders may be more user-friendly and versatile for hobbyists. Concerns are raised about the limitations of budget TIG welders, including their performance and suitability for basic welding tasks. Some users recommend saving for a more capable MIG welder, while others discuss the importance of having adequate power supply and installation considerations for effective welding. The conversation highlights the need for a balance between budget constraints and the functionality required for amateur welding projects.
