    Hello, Kolegów

I am looking for a petrol chainsaw. Typically, backyard works (small orchard, preparation of a tree for smoking - pegs 25 cm in diameter). A reasonable power for me would be 2-2,2 hp. I have 3 proposals and I completely do not know what to decide:

    1) Oleo Mac GS350C - 849, -
    2. Husqvarna 135 - 1149, -
    3) Stihl MS 181, -

At Oleo Mac, I am convinced by the low price (and the 3-year warranty ;) ).

    Colleagues, will you help?

My Husquarne was stolen and I went to a "friendly representative" to buy new equipment. I wanted Makita, but when I presented him what and how much I cut (backyard use) he sold me Hecht 45 with a 2-year warranty for about 400 PLN. And so far I agree with him that although he smokes a little more, but if he does not work professionally with a saw, I will not feel the difference.

I was at the dealer and Husqvarna and Stihla today - and everyone praises what he has on offer. In the second town, the Stihla dealer recommended me to OleoMac.

And who can push the saw for PLN 1000, sell it for 400? I do not know about chainsaws but I "sell something" myself. As you are a customer from the street, you have what the biggest margin is for.
Undoubtedly, H and S are good brands. Only is it definitely the best choice for cutting 5m3 a year? If you have a free cash, you probably will not regret the choice. But do you really need to buy a brewery to drink beer?

    PS.
I am not affiliated with any chainsaw brand. Sam, I found out that cheap means ... no. But for drilling 5 holes in concrete once a year I will not buy a drill from PLN 1,500.

For such applications, everyone will be good, even the Chinese as he writes @lamerb . Personally, I have Husqvarna saws, but a few years ago I was tempted to buy a 12 "" iron and I use it more often than Husqvarna because of its convenience and weight, I have no experience with OleoMac, but it will be a more reliable choice than Chinese The power of about 2KM will be enough in the orchard, unless you have 50-year-old trees Husqvarna or Stihl will serve for years and there will be no problem with parts. My HQ is of age and you can still buy any screw or gasket for it. choice, maybe someone else will talk about OleoMac.

Oleo Mac GS370 - a more powerful version of 350`s. And I will choose that one. In the distributor's website for Nasz kraj, the saw is for PLN 899 - with a 3-year warranty (two payable surveys are required - around PLN 35 / unit - and I have an authorized service for 3 km) ;) ).

To the moderator: I do not want to close the topic for now - how do I decide on this OM 370 I will describe the experience of use - I have two pine trailers to cut ;) .

With not a lot of work can think of something cheaper, how to buy a product Chinese is after you spend money, Oleo is also made in China and its quality is a lottery, I do not say here, for example, said Hechta, because I would not recommend it to you for problems with parts and its quality, see what other Chinese stores have for what will be later part, if different I would put on Stihla

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a petrol chainsaw suitable for backyard tasks, specifically for cutting small trees and preparing wood for smoking. The user is considering three models: Oleo Mac GS350C, Husqvarna 135, and Stihl MS 181, with a budget of PLN 1200. Responses highlight the reliability and availability of parts for Husqvarna and Stihl, while some users express skepticism about the quality of Oleo Mac, noting that it is manufactured in China. Recommendations suggest that for limited use, a less expensive option may suffice, but for durability and long-term use, investing in a reputable brand like Husqvarna or Stihl is advisable. The Oleo Mac GS370 is also mentioned as a more powerful alternative to the GS350C.
