    A question for the pilots.
For grubbing stumps in the fields (before cutting - I'm cutting down with the ground) I use Husqvarna saws with 38 cm guide. Until now, I used only guides and Oregon chains with a hole for additional bearing lubrication. They do not have light because it is undercutting with sand, soil, etc. so I use a few such sets for the season ...

Now such a set of Oregon costs about PLN 160 (length 38 cm, chain pitch .325 ", 64 links)

However, I have a dilemma because searching for Oregon I noticed the alternatives (also the guide plus 2 chains):

    - MASTIFF for PLN 40
    - STRONG for PLN 49

I have not dealt with such inventions so far - is there any sense to bother with that?

Hello, I would let it go ... The price had to have its basics. I used several times replacements and unfortunately I have to say faster wear, the formation of a "wire" on the guide at a rapid pace, it also happened that the holes from the lubricator did not coincide with the channel in the saw (the guide was matched to the saw) I also own several Husqvarna saws and everywhere is Oregon, or the original, although more expensive solutions, you also pay for the mark, unfortunately ....

I do not know what type of chains you use, but a half-chisel type chain would be more suitable for such a cut (of course a good brand, eg. Oregon).
    Half-chisel, i.e. with such a profile:

The full chisel has such a profile and becomes more dull in "dirty" wood.

Yes, they only require special grinding discs.

I sharpen with a file. The discs wear the chain much harder. I think that at least 2x faster.

But the fact I do not know what to sharpen such a chain. I did not work on the subject

Surely they consume faster (the pressure is the tendency to overheat the blade, moreover, it collects more), but for me the sharpener wins in the category of speed and convenience ;-)
When I take a few days leave, when I come back in the afternoon with a few blunted chains and I still have to grasp the dirty saws for the next morning is the only alternative ...

I recommend chains on the original Oregon links. Such an example is the "flora best" brand of the Lidl brand. I managed to hit the opportunity on the allegro for 2 such chains with shipping, I paid PLN 40 for the 3/8 half-chisel scale (40 cm guide). Chains, in my opinion, very good sharp and like with any chain like new it goes like in butter. Until we overheat or jam the guide, it stretches normally.
With chainsaws it's a good part of it, it has original guides and chains, which is why some buy them on promotions leave a chain and guide and the rest gets a slightly cheaper allegro and in this way they have a good cutting set at a cheap price.

As for sharpening, of course, the file will extend the life of the chain especially when we cut the material with surprises in the form of nails and sharpen the chain with a nail file after 10-15 minutes and do not need to be dismantled from the saw.

To buy cheaply on allegro, you have to add a bookmark and sometimes there is a look at how something cool is cheap, we buy it for stock. You should look even if you do not need how many things I bought in this way for half the price. :) The day before yesterday I bought a clutch basket for my saw using the free shipping - Allegro parcel machine.

However, I bought verified Oregon sets, I did not want to test uncertain products on myself ...
