    Hello
I recently bought a popular Chinese TV box H96 Pro + on the S912 CPU, with the idea of connecting to the old TV under SCART at the moment.
The problem is that the Chinese do not add an AV cable to the set.
From what I see on the PCB, the Jack socket is on 3 pin, and in my opinion it should be 4 pin (GND, Video, Audio L + P).
Did anyone have to do with connecting this type of TV set?

So for quick scribbles, what do you think about it?
It looks like a Chinese dong and it can only be done as an analogue audio output, 'Cause I'm missing a bit to 4pin AV (blue GND goes) + two additional signals.
    greetings

Z opisu ... The left side carries two USB 2.0 ports alongside with the reset button, while two other USB 2.0 ports and a Micro SD card slot are located on the right side. The power port, HDMI port, DC, RJ45 and optical S/PDIF port are on the back.
to ja nie wiem do jakiego złącza ty chcesz się podłączyć ?

Hey, you had to read from some other model there are several variations of this Tv Box.
(Trapped between power and HDMI - AV:])
Mine is just like on a photo, like a bull's AV output.

    (I know what I have :) )

I received such an answer from an English-language forum:

i have tried it, it works, you need an av cable rca (red, white, yellow) to jack 3.5, some av devices come with this cable (example cameras or mp4) .

So, explaining the need for an AV RCA cable (I suspect 4 fields for a jack plug)
But if it does not fit into the socket on the PCB hmm ... it claims it works for him so.

There is even a movie on YT when someone has a problem there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqpLItbYntU
    from AV

And, more or less, my box looks inside:

OK, everything has cleared up, it is a short circuit of the Video signal to GND on the prock side, so the Chinese kachana sent a damaged sell.

The correct distribution of signals should look like this:

A small update, surprisingly, after connecting the cable vide rca everything works.

But the way you release the video signals is hopeless because it is seen as a short circuit to gnd.

I will tread on the topic, because I would like to buy this device, I just wonder how to connect speakers to it?

I would like to add that I want to use the tv box to project the image on the wall projector by hdmi, but I would like to let the sound through the 5.1 speakers.
Is there any way to get 5.1 sound when connecting via AV (I understand it is a jack)?
Because normally there are several jack inputs to connect speakers in the computer.

Can he look for some other tv box model?

The analog AV output has a stereo signal, 5 + 1 surround sound can not be obtained.

At most a digital connection option.

    Hello
I will also step on the subject
I am going to buy this contraption with Ali because they have a 11.11 day of sale and the price is attractive for this tvbox in relation to its parameters.
According to the description and photos of this box, it has 2 x USB type2.
But in the pictures for AoT_Hunter on the board there are 4 items (2 USB hidden)
Hunter, can you confirm it and are they fully functional?

Hello, yes I confirm are hidden, just cut out the holes and you have extra :)
The box is really efficient in its class.
If the price is attractive, unless there is something newer, I am not up-to-date because in these topics the top list changes from day to day.
    Oh my came without VAT.

    Thanks for the info
Just 2 additional USB drives will be very useful ?
I just do not understand the Chinese people for what they hide
On Saturday, I can buy it in version 3/32 for PLN 249 and I hope that they will not charge VAT at the border

Hello no promotion I bought yours in February this year (look when it was) it cost 67.74 USD comes out * currently 3.6 == 244 PLN

    Of course, version 3/32

Now, they artificially inflate the prices so as to get down to promotion on the same.

Now I see my offer is at 69.99 USD (if I can provide a link)

Mine has come without watu b and does not differ from those cheaper in terms of appearance;].

Why USB is buried because probably the same PCB is sold in 23 other releases and variations.

Oh, ps. I do not recommend this link though the seller ok because it turned out that everything is fine and TVBox works as it should wait ... nightmare probably with two bellows because they had shortages and waited for a ledge from factories that did not keep up because so many were willing.

You have to knock on the specs I did not delve into this exactly because I do not use it. But probably there is the possibility of 5.1

This and I will be interested in the topic. I have at home in the contraption. TV does not detect it after HDMI. The manual states that you must select the resolution after connecting. How should I do it if I do not have a picture? Has someone already solved a similar problem? I will add that the input \ the cable is ok, the decoder works on it without problems.

I have no idea my right after connecting it apparently worked some Chinese rummaged earlier, try to another device, or analog video.
With the fact that here you have to get a cable or solder yourself.

I had such a problem with the image negative after hdmi after a few dozen or so minutes. Somewhere I read with some (sony philips) tv after hdmi hard to get along. The solution is to connect to vga (transition from hdmi to vga) Yes I did and it works without lags.
The sound can be done by the optician but you can also attach some dac to your USB. It works great. I have not yet pinned the dac - I have optically stereo and it's great :)

However, I have a problem with USB in this system. Each USB port after connecting a pendrive or an external drive, every few seconds ceases to see it, and after the next moment it sees again. Over and over again. Any ideas?

I'll step on the subject. I would like to ask people who use the tv box with an android if they really are also dealing with google play games.

Maybe a problem with the power line, especially when you connect an external drive (similar things happen in routers when attaching LTE modems)

On which long cables or directly to USB (also pendrive)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting the H96 Pro+ Android TV Box, equipped with an S912 CPU, to an older SCART TV. Users noted that the device does not come with an AV cable, which is necessary for this connection. The H96 Pro+ features a 3-pin jack socket, which some users believe should be a 4-pin for proper video and audio output. A solution was found using an RCA to 3.5mm AV cable, which successfully transmitted video and audio signals. However, concerns were raised about the quality of the video output, which some described as problematic. Additionally, users discussed various audio output options, clarifying that the analog AV output only supports stereo sound, while digital connections via HDMI or optical output can provide better audio quality. The conversation also touched on the device's USB ports and potential issues with connecting external drives.
