A totally newbie question: I am going abroad, but I would like to have a satellite TV in Polish (yes, I know that the rules are forbidden). I am looking at the NC + offer, but I see that TVP1, TVP2, TVN, Polsat and several others are marked in each package with a green icon meaning "Program available via terrestrial broadcasting". Do I understand correctly that it means that the decoder receives them in the DVB-T standard and will not be these channels abroad? Or maybe there is some way of receiving these programs abroad on the NC + decoder?

OK, but if so, why are they marked with this sign?

@ telesat1 The question is still where @Adoram is leaving? If he escapes from Astra or Hot Bird, he will have to combine like me.

This is only information and has nothing to do with receiving them abroad, within Hotbird's reach.
    Because the operator did.

Such as I inserted above. In the channel list, e.g. here:
    http://ncplus.pl/sklep/oferta/start-premium

TVP TVN, Polsat etc. programs have such a green designation in the corner, which is explained below as receiving by DVB-T.

Luckily, HotBird is visible, I checked.

As has already been said, the programs you are asking for are available from the satellite abroad.

If the friend goes to the UK, after connecting the terrestrial antenna to the decoder, he will have a full FreeView package (Terrestrial Digital TV). The benefit is that you can record if the decoder has HDD.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around accessing Polish satellite TV channels (TVP1, TVP2, TVN, Polsat) while abroad using the NC+ service. Users clarify that despite the channels being marked with a green icon indicating terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T), they are still available via satellite for subscribers outside Poland. It is noted that the NC+ decoders are compatible with MPEG4 DVB-S2 standards, allowing reception of these channels abroad, particularly through satellites like Hotbird. Users also mention the possibility of using a terrestrial antenna in the UK to access FreeView channels, enhancing the viewing options for Polish expatriates.
