NC Plus vs Digital Polsat: Comparing Signal Strength & Quality Differences

Hello to you. Please tell me if there is a difference in signal strength, quality between the signal sent by nc plus and digital polsat?

If I'm not mistaken, both are from the hotbird satellite, so there should be no differences.

The choice of a digital platform depends on the programming offer and it should rather be suggested.
With the use of a 90 cm antenna, there will be no problem in receiving the channels of both operators.

The times when each operator was transmitting on different frequencies are over. Now nc +, CP and Orange they are broadcasting from Hot Bird from the same transponders. Only the content is encoded in other systems. Thus, the strength and quality of the signal from individual frequencies is the same for all operators. The difference in the signal parameters may be due to the difference in the receiving equipment.

The picture from the nc + or CP decoder connected to the same TV set may differ slightly, which is the result of differences in construction of these sat receivers.
If you use an operator independent receiver for reception, and for decoding the CI module signal from nc + or CP, the picture quality should be the same.
The signal quality, not the image quality, depends on the size and quality of the antenna. The higher the signal quality, the greater its "resistance" to the influence of bad reception conditions (cloudiness, precipitation).

In my opinion, NC + decoders are "less sensitive", they show less strength and quality of the signal.
Polsat has a better display of signal parameters - strength, quality, bars and percentages and MER.
The image quality is comparable in both.

Of course, it depends on the developers. There was a time that some nc + decoders on previous soft-drives showed 100% very easily. This has changed in recent versions of the software. Now the individual nc + models differ from each other in the% indications of the same parameters.
CP decoders are not very precise when aligning the antenna, because they show the signal quality "step by step", eg 50-66-83-100% and the corresponding MER 12-13-14-15 dB. Of course, since 15dB is the maximum indication, MER of 16dB and more also show as 15dB.
Orange decoders show 100% quality with MER> 12 dB.
