Hi. I bought the NC + set with the intention of installing it in the Netherlands. I have a converter antenna for 1 cable and a PVR BOX + PACE HDS7241 decoder.
I missed the installation of the antenna that I got in the set due to the fact that there is already a plate on the house in which I live. I connect everything and the signal is constantly 0 ... I set the antenna using the SatFinder program. I choose the HotBird13B satellite.
Questions: Could the problem be the antenna itself? eg: converter handle length?
Does the antenna have to be positioned perfectly in degrees?
I have the antenna attached in the photo:

(ofc just in the photo and the converter is removed)
    Regards Ł.

I have this application that shows via GPS which direction the antenna should be pointing and that's it. Nothing more.

If in the Netherlands, it might not be set to HotBird 13E. Most Dutch channels broadcast on 9E and 23.5E. Well, it depends who used this antenna before.

The antenna must be perfectly aligned with a specific satellite.

I have the impression that the antenna is distorted. If so, there may be a problem with its setting.

Not only does it have to be turned properly (azimuth), but you also need to set the right height (elevation). It is not difficult, but if you are not on the topic, use the help of a specialist.

Solution: The antenna must be positioned to the nearest mm. ;) It's best to help yourself with android satellite setting applications.

I also think it is deformed. But maybe this photo was taken like that.

It was my first observation and I can see that not only mine. The second thing is whether this antenna is obstructed by something. I just touched on this topic today. Quite common lately ...

Third thing, I see that you are probably trying to set this antenna on a "square" tube :D . I am not saying that it is impossible because it happens, but it is undoubtedly more difficult ...

This is obvious. Even tenths or hundredths of a millimeter matter. I don't need applications. It is a pity that after a year but it means that it works and it is not about prompting. :D :D

There was a new topic so I replied. And I didn't notice that it was a reheated cutlet. For this, close topics. As for the application, they are not needed but they are useful. In any case, they can facilitate the work, but you must approach it with caution. Otherwise, they can be harmful as many times the navigation into the swamp has led ...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the installation issues of an NC+ set in the Netherlands, specifically with a PVR BOX and PACE HDS7241 decoder connected to a HotBird 13B satellite. The user reports a constant signal of 0 despite using a SatFinder application for alignment. Responses emphasize the necessity of precise antenna alignment, including both azimuth and elevation adjustments, to achieve a signal. Concerns are raised about potential obstructions and the condition of the antenna, with suggestions to use satellite setting applications for better positioning. The importance of ensuring the antenna is not deformed and is mounted correctly is also highlighted.
