    Hello

I have a problem with MAN TGL 12.220 euros 5 from 2011, the car was working all the time, and until last week where after driving about 30-40 km the ABS indicator lights up displays the message Storung Bremsterung and the brakes virtually disappear, brakes very weakly, it helps to turn it off and on again ignition, but it's also for a while. I checked all the cubes in the front under the board by the wheels and it is ok. The computer shows errors 06005, 06016 and 03001
    Please help

03001 - damaged ABS driver. Symptoms match the fault.

    Hello

And where is the ABS driver in MAN or is it perhaps the modulator on the back?

Unless I'm mistaken it's in front under the brake valve. Open the hood and there you will find it, on the driver's side.

    welcome back

So it's the Wabco brake master valve anyway? if so, is it possible to repair this regeneration or only to replace it?

The controller is in the passenger side of the cabin. Before making any decisions, you would need to do a full computer diagnosis to find out what the problem is and what to fix. An internal error (if the interpretation of the fault is correct) means a faulty driver (ABS computer) and not a valve.

The controller is under the main brake valve on the driver's side and not in the passenger's side of the cabin. This is TGL and not TGA.

    welcome back

I am after replacing the modulator on the rear axle driving 35 km and again ABS lit up German messages and errors 6005 6016 3001 597 and brakes missing - any ideas?

Added after 5 [hours] 49 [minutes]:

One more question when changing the entire service brake must be the same numbers as in the predecessor, can you replace it with another Wabco? mine has the numbers 81521306305 4800200210

Error 6016 is message ZBR 2 loss of ABS signal. So there may be an end to the ABS driver. If this error has repeated, then you have unnecessarily replaced the modulator and drowned the money.

    Hello
Unknown interrupt or unknown microcontroller self test, RAM or ROM test - device defective

    Code: 3001.9

    - Check the front axle ABS valves for signs of unacceptable corrosion, replace the valves if necessary (note: from version CBU 480 020 020 0 this first check may be omitted).

    - Replace the EBS controller

Where did the idea to replace the rear axle modulator come from?

    Hello

The modulator was out of stock, we changed it, it was also cost-free, and the ABS valves on the front axle are they located in TGL?

ABS valves are integrated with the main brake valve, i.e. the one under the brake pedal under the hood.

Unplug, check, the "redundant" valve (I do not know the Polish description), which is located at the rear axle on the left side of the vehicle. It has a plug with only 2 pins. After replying, see if the errors are the same as before.
For testing purposes, you can plug in a normal 2/3 valve that has a similar resistance.

    Gentlemen.
Straighten me up because I'm not overwhelmed. There is a 3001 error - the ABS driver is damaged, so why replace the valves, modulators and everything else. A damaged valve causes another fault. Here even ZBR informs about the lack of data from ABS. ..?

I can't explain it 100% but it is related to the power distribution in the EBS controller. If the same source is used to power many components and one of them fails, e.g. has too much power, the supply voltage is much lower than required. He often shoots a fuse ... but he doesn't have to. EBS is such a system that it does not always tell exactly where it hurts, and as it is already said, the reason may lie elsewhere.
So it's best to unplug all external sensors / valves ... and then read the errors, there will of course be a lot about disconnected plugs, but if you still have the same 3001 then you are sure of the controller itself.

I agree. Sometimes it happens and then, for example, I recommend connecting the rear modulator to class 15 to read the reason for disconnecting the rear power supply. But in such cases I have not encountered internal errors of the central unit and eeprom at once.

    Hello

problem solved, it turned out Wabco (main brake valve) regenerated and works as it should be thanks for help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with a 2011 MAN TGL 12.220 Euro 5 vehicle, specifically concerning the ABS indicator light activation, weak braking, and error codes 06005, 06016, and 03001. Users identified that error 03001 indicates a damaged ABS driver, while error 06016 suggests a loss of ABS signal. The ABS driver is located under the brake valve on the driver's side. A user replaced the rear axle modulator but continued to experience issues, leading to further diagnostics. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by regenerating the Wabco main brake valve, restoring proper functionality.
