I've seen a few different ones, I didn't notice any difference between them. They were of very good quality.

And what's the difference between these "trusted branded clones"? The same Chinese does it for the same bowl of rice.

I have a clone of Mega and Nano. I bought Mega for about PLN 25 (some promotion on ebay) and Nano for a tenner somewhere in PL at the first auction. Both have been working for a long time without failures.

    A species of rice :D .
I have been using PRO Mini ATMEGA328P boards for about two years as "prototype" and nothing is wrong with them.

The one who sells the knees tries to tell you that it is not worse than the original, and the seller of the original tries to tell you that a fake is a fake :)
Personally, when I've seen different versions of them, I'm inclined to the fact that knees are often better.
Eg colored pins, with ADC and digital. Reset led to the side, or double female and male strips, etc. You have to watch and not believe in some stories that something works differently on a fake than on the original.
I bought it once for my son to catch the bug, but he's having a hard time doing it, so sometimes I'll use it as a prototype of the atmega.
But the trend for Arduino is slowly passing, I think. ;)

And if it doesn't work, of course you'll want help from the person who invented the original, not the fake ;)

I have an arduino uno clone, 2 years old and it still works flawlessly, better buy a clone, cost about PLN 30 :)

Today, probably 12 on ebay, and I even saw auctions on aledrogo once, PLN 5.90, only shipping from China.
Although the Cortex STM module costs a dozen or so zlotys.

I just got the Nano with the CH340. It works very well, you just need to install the drivers. There's nothing to write down. Is it worth buying on Ali? I had the impression that things like Arduino are recently at the same price in Poland.

On ebay and whether Ali can be bought cheaper. But with the price of these modules, the difference will not be big, although if you buy only these modules, and not as an addition to the shipment, the shipment in PL costs as much as the module sometimes.

As for the USB - UART converter chip itself, the CH34x is the worst possible. Once that it is the slowest, two after the reset it "spreads bushes", but in standard applications it does not bother. I recently bought 2 pcs. Pro Mini for PLN 6.40/pcs. with free shipping ... it took 1.5 months, but it finally arrived. It's not "a little cheaper", I have 2pcs. for the price of one of Allegro. Now I regret that I didn't order more, calmly 6 pcs. would be duty free. In addition, for less than PLN 16 I bought a board with STM32F103C8T6.

You overpaid, I'm buying for PLN 8. That's what they're on ebay for. I mean, I bought it and it goes, but now I looked, there are others with all ports led out for 13-15 PLN.
Hmm, I guess I'll give it a try.

Spelling aside, I hope the clone works better than you write :)
But back to the topic, I hope my colleague will now write to us, what is this better performance than the original, what is this clone better at?

Only buy clones without soldered goldpins. How quinols can solder them is a massacre.

Generally, they solder just about everything. But it depends on how you hit it, it can be crooked and it can be pretty.

A month ago I bought an arduino uno clone for PLN 14 on Allegro :P and I am satisfied. Everything works and the execution is quite good.
    I also got a USB cable :)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the quality and reliability of Arduino clones, particularly contrasting trusted branded clones with cheaper Chinese models. Users report positive experiences with various clones, including Mega, Nano, and Pro Mini boards, often highlighting their functionality and cost-effectiveness. Some participants argue that the quality of clones can be comparable to originals, with specific features like colored pins and better layouts. However, concerns about the reliability of support for clones versus originals are raised. The CH340 chip is mentioned, with mixed opinions on its performance. Overall, many users advocate for purchasing clones due to their affordability and satisfactory performance.
