    Hello,
as in the topic, the Kenik 1301T IP camera takes the time after turning on the power, but it is shifted by 1 hour. back and no time zone or NTP server settings help. Do you have any idea how to get around this? Can create own time server, but postponed by 1 hour. ? and where to place this server so that the camera can connect to it (permanently turning on the computer with the time server is not an option)? Thanks for any tips.

If the camera is an autonomous device (it is not connected to the recorder from which it can download the time) check its settings if you have "summer time" turned on. If it is on, you should uncheck it and set the time according to the standard time zone (probably +1).

The camera works without the recorder, with the summer time set it moves back one hour, without summer time by two.

    What time zone is set?

I have already written that no matter what time zone I set, the time is always shifted after restart / power off by an hour or two. If I change the minutes, I have good values back in less than a minute, so the synchronization with the NTP server works, the question is where does the hourly shift come from and if anyone else has an idea how to work around it.

If the camera takes time from NTP - it should download it according to the time settings and daylight saving time settings.

Please tell us what the configuration of the time and the time shift in your camera looks like.

Have you contacted the seller? Maybe it is a firmware error - and a new firmware version is enough and everything will be back to normal?

Have I contacted the seller? Of course. Eltrox's help itself proposed such a solution (in the sense of an hourly time server), but they did not do it. I know I can return the camera and they have to give me the money back, but that's not the point. I have had it for a year and it works flawlessly, and only this hourly shift bothers me, but I would rather do it for pleasure than for duty. I have uploaded the latest software from a few months ago. As for the selection of the time zone, as you can see in the attached picture, there is nothing because whatever I would set there, an empty field appears after the restart. This seems to be the reason it doesn't keep the timezone settings, but that's what I wrote before. I am looking more for a way to check if it is possible to set up a time server with an offset and how to do it ... Regards

I checked, it also sets summer -1 normal -2 from the current time

And here's the problem. If the camera does not know in what time zone it is working ... after restart, the zone crashes - it will always work in gmt 0.
Note that in NTP - you don't have GMT settings - so it only gets its time from the time zone.

I recommend the final email to eltrox - for help on how to start the time zone.

Topic summary

The Kenik 1301T IP camera is experiencing a time shift issue, consistently displaying time that is one to two hours off after power cycles, despite attempts to adjust time zone and NTP server settings. Users suggest checking the "summer time" setting, as enabling it causes the time to shift back by one hour. The camera operates autonomously without a recorder, and the time zone settings do not persist after a restart, leading to a default GMT 0 setting. Suggestions include contacting the seller for potential firmware updates and exploring the possibility of setting up a custom time server with an offset to correct the time discrepancy.
