I have a small problem how to set gmp in this engine? camshaft blocked ,, I did not make a mark on the shaft, and I took off the magnetic ring (seal replacement), how should this ring be positioned? Citroen Jumpy II 2007 1.6 HDI 16v DV6TED4 - Timing Belt & Chain Setting Photo Request

Yes, I have a groove on the shaft but I mean - in what position to put this ring on the wheel "I unnecessarily pulled it off but now it does not matter" the locking hole should be set at 9 o'clock relative to the wedge on the shaft?

survived, I did not touch the path on the sides, I will try to fold it, this is not a demountable part - you don't mention it?

ring fitted, shaft blocked, camshaft blocked, pump blocked, I wanted to make sure before putting on a new belt whether there is a gmp, I put the wire in place of the injector and it turns out that the 1st and 4th pistons are not in GMP, did I miss something? This is my first timing in a PSA engine.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around setting the timing belt and chain for a Citroen Jumpy II 2007 1.6 HDI 16v DV6TED4 engine. The original poster requests photos for reference after setting the timing using the characters. Responses clarify that PSA engines do not set timing to characters but use colored links for chain alignment. Additional queries arise regarding the positioning of a magnetic ring after seal replacement, with advice on ensuring proper alignment and the implications of disassembly. The conversation highlights the importance of confirming the engine's timing position, particularly for the DV6 engine, where the timing may not align with the expected marks during belt replacement.
