    Hello
I have a question about how to check the timing setting, mainly this is the intermediate wheel from the ignition engine because when firing the car on a cold engine it very much blocks the ignition and how to move the camera it spins normally only has no power. I suspect that it is there is a wrong set but I do not know if there are any signs there. Many thanks.

There is no sign on this circle because it is not needed. You set the timing on the marks, set the divider finger on the first cylinder and finito, then only the lamp, the ignition advance and is to ride.

    there is a point

Only to change the timing, so that you do not bother with the camera later. As the author has already rummaged and turned the camera, this point is needed as an ulcer on a large ... pie.

How the timing is done is supposed to be on signs and a dot. If signs do not match, then you have to bring order to the order, so the timing rings on the signs, the ignition engine with your finger on the dash then the lamp.

Maybe even the radiator pull out to make it visible?
The mark is in the ignition device and only it is important, and the one on the intermediate shaft is to forget that it exists at all.

A long time ago, the factory was certainly set up on signs, then someone poked around and moved and then there are searches. You are right that only the camera is important but my opinion is that the order must be and how much the boy wants it and let the radiator pull out and I would have a meal with a mirror or endoscope.

How is it not important? Let it set everything all over again. The fact that someone has popaprał does not mean that it can not improve. You have a drawing. Set the bar as shown in the picture, then pull out the camera and set it up, then adjust with a lamp and you have a factory.
At least there will not be another post in this topic.
Ps. I once had such a car. And this is the case: the dust from the clutch disc has been deposited on the edge of the "0" setting window, that the timing undercurrent was moved to the tooth.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around checking and adjusting the timing settings for the Audi 80 2.0 115HP, specifically focusing on the intermediate wheel and cold start issues. Users emphasize the importance of aligning the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and the ignition device. It is noted that the intermediate shaft mark is less critical. Suggestions include using a lamp for ignition timing adjustment and possibly removing the radiator for better visibility. The consensus is that proper timing setup is essential for optimal engine performance, especially after previous adjustments may have been incorrectly made.
