I have a bit of a problem with setting the timing in my 1.8 ADR, setting the shaft pulley on the marks, the mark on the camshaft is shifted by 1.5 notches ... people write on the Internet that 0.5 teeth are within the error limits. The car starts and drives normally (at least it seems to me), I changed the timing but without setting the marks, I just changed it as it was because I did not want to figure it out yet, if I put it on the pulley, I have this mark on the shaft too much . Can you tell me how to set it right? I loosen the tensioner, remove the belt, turn the camshaft to the right (set it to the mark), put the belt on and everything? This is the first time I do this in a car and I get lost. What if the timing pulley accidentally turned too much to the right? Can you also turn it left?

Could anyone have a reason to set the timing in this way? I'm afraid that if I set it on the signs, something will be wrong. The car sometimes has a problem on a cold engine, it does not screw in as it should and it happens that when I choke it and it goes out, it is very difficult to start it.

One more thing, it is said that there is a window on the flywheel in the clutch housing, I am looking, I am looking for and I cannot find, I cannot see in the label either.

It is clearly misplaced. Here you have a similar case.

After changing the timing setting, it is necessary to turn the shaft 2 times with a wrench to check that the marks do not cross and that the pistons do not collide with the valves.

Such an error is due to the fact that mechanics set the timing on their own signs, as some cars have floating gears and require special timing locks that are not cheap.

Thanks for the answer, I've seen this video before, even commented it, but didn't get a reply.
Will anyone else answer my question in the first post?:
