Welcome. I have a passat B5 1.9 tdi 90km 97. I have a central key. My question is, if I buy a pilot on the b39 passata, can I encode it with a vag so that it works under my control unit?

    @ Edit
I bought the key and tried to encode it with vcds but in the adaptation of vcds it does not detect it is not avalible or something like that; d

    Adaptation of VW remote controls

Collect all the remote controls you want to program.
Place one of the vehicle's keys in the ignition switch and turn the ignition ON.
When using the VAG-COM program, do the following:
    > [Choice]
    > [46 - Comfort module] or [35 - Central locking]
    > [Adaptation - 10]
    > Select channel "'01'" (on some AUDI models it can be '' 21 '' channel)
    > [0read]
    > The number of currently programmed remotes should appear in the field 'Value Saved ??.
    > In the '' New value '' field, enter the total number of pilots (up to 4) that you want to match to the controller (including existing pilots).
    > [Test]
    > Make sure that the controller accepts the entered value.
    > [Save]
Now you have about 15 seconds to fit all remote controls.
Press and hold (for at least 1 second) - one by one in each remote control to be coded UNLOCK (open).

If the above procedure does not work - ie both channel "01" and "21" are not available - proceed as follows:
    > Place one of the vehicle's keys (old - with coded and working remote control) in the ignition and switch the ignition ON (do not start the vehicle!).
When using the VAG-COM program, do the following:
    > [Choice]
    > [46 - Comfort module] or [35 - Central locking]
    > [Measuring blocks - 08]
    > Select group "003" (on some models it can be group "007")
    > [Go!]
    > The value displayed in field number 2 allows you to read how many pilots are currently matched and which positions they occupy in the controller's memory, eg: "0001" informs that one pilot is matched and occupies the first position in the controller's memory.
    > Now close the car from the outside ("manually" - not a remote control!) Using the combination key together with the unmatched remote (close the driver's door).
    > Now within 5 seconds of closing the door, press the UNLOCK button (opening) in the unmatched remote control. The number of presses of the UNLOCK button is responsible for the position of the remote control in the controller's memory. Pressing the opening button twice will save the remote control in the second memory position, three times - for the third position, etc.

    Example:
    > If you want to program a new remote control, and before starting the procedure for adding pilots in field 2 in the group "003" (or "007") of measuring blocks, you would see "0001", you should press the UNLOCK button twice. The result of this operation should be "0011" in box 2.
    > After finishing setting the position of the currently programmed remote control, wait for 5 seconds and then press the UNLOCK button (on the newly encoded remote control).
    > Turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition. Check the operation of the remote control: press the LOCK button to close the vehicle. Press UNLOCK - to open.
    > Insert the key with the newly coded remote control in the ignition.
    > Switch on the ignition but do not start the vehicle.
    > [Choice]
    > [46 - Comfort module] or [35 - Central locking]
    > [Measuring blocks - 08]
    > Select group "003" (on some models it can be group "007")
    > [go!]
Referring to the example given above, field No. 2 should indicate, for example, the value "0011".

NOTE: When adding new transmitters, remember that by assigning them already occupied places in the controller's memory (represented by "1" in field No. 2) you will delete the same - already operating - old remote controls.

As we enter the adaptation, it reads zero and then as it wants to peak 1 or 2 it displays not avalible. I have only one key and the remote control I want to program, so the second option goes away.

To match the keys and the remote control:
    1. Insert the correct key into the ignition and switch on the ignition
    2. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and select expert mode
    3. Choose the 46-comfort system.
    4. Choose 10-adaptation.
    5. Enter channel 000 (you must delete all keys with channel number 000). It is not possible to match a new or additional item without erasing existing keys.
    6. Accept to confirm the deletion of stored values.
    7. Check in channel 001, all keys should be erased from channel number 001.
    8. Select the number of keys to program, enter the existing mechanical key of the ignition key (eg 00003) and select the quantity to confirm. Up to four keys, so much can be adjusted.
    9. Confirm to return to the function selection menu.
    10. Press on the remote control to close or open for one second, once for each button to learn the radio frequency module. NOTE: This must take place within 15 seconds after leaving.
    11. After encrypting all keys and remote controls, select 06th communication termination and disconnect the scanner.
Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
    12. carry out the pilot test for proper operation.

In some cases it may be necessary to replace the immo module controller - blocked with no access to the option.

    Key Matching
    Requirements:
All keys are new or have been adapted for this car (IMMOID) before.
You can match up to 4 keys.
While adjusting each key, put different keys from the ignition (reader coil). The passenger seat is the right place.
Battery voltage of at least 12.0 V.

    Select block 001. [Go]!
The value in field 3 must be equal to 1. If this value is 1, the key can not be adapted to the immobilizer.
You can check every key in this way.
    [Done, Go Back]
    [Log in 11]
    4-digit PIN code
Enter to zero and then by a 4-digit PIN. For example, if the PIN is 1234, enter 01234.
    [Do it!]
    [Adaptation 10]
Enter the number 01 in the "channel". [Read]
"Stored Value" is the number of keys currently matched.
Enter the "new value" corresponding to the total number of buttons to be matched, including any existing keys.
The old keys are automatically cleared. [Save]
    [Done, Go Back]
    [Close Controller, Go Back 06]

Repeat the following procedure until all keys have been adjusted: Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
Insert the next key and turn on the ignition.
Immobilizer The warning lamp lights for ~ 2 seconds, wait until it goes out.

Note: The above steps after saving the adjustment should not exceed 60 seconds!

How do you know that your comfort module is adapted to work with the remote control?
If the factory car was not equipped with a remote control, the comfort module is without an FM receiver and you will never add a remote control.
It was necessary to replace the comfort module or add external control from the remote control.
The second option, as far as the pilot was at the factory, is to try to add a remote with a different frequency that will not work here.
Give the remote control number and photo of the interior comfort module - it is under the driver's feet, closer to the chair, you need to raise the floor covering.

I have a strap 2001 after lifts and I had a problem with the comfort module, because I flooded it a little and exchanged for the same with the same numbers and after swapping everything is almost oki, because I did not work fast, highlighting the interior of the cabin. It's almost ok, it's "I can not open passka from the remote control - closing the key in the lock works central" do I have to adapt the key? HELP!

You have to match the vag com, or by the castle on Google look there, you have to write what you need to do

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the compatibility and encoding of a central key for a 1997 Volkswagen Passat B5 1.9 TDI 90KM using VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System). The user inquires about the feasibility of programming a new remote control (pilot) with the existing comfort module. Responses detail the adaptation process, emphasizing the need to ensure the comfort module is compatible with remote controls. Steps include using VCDS to access the comfort module, erasing existing keys, and programming new ones within a specific timeframe. Issues arise when the adaptation process fails to recognize the new remote, suggesting potential incompatibility if the comfort module was not originally equipped for remote operation. Additional advice includes checking the remote control frequency and the comfort module's specifications.
