Hello, I have Passat B5 1997. 1.9 90km, namely I have a problem with the lack of all the stop lights, the bulbs checked, the sensor replaced and nothing, I will add that when the plug plugs all the foot candle, I know that new parts can also be broken, so I checked the new sensor at a friend in the same passat and the sensor is OKAY. I will add that about two weeks ago I had a delicate bump and the rear left lamp was slightly damaged (exactly the shade, the cartridge seems to be ok), is it possible that something got mixed up in the lamp when I hit it, so to speak? As for the fuses, with a bridged cube of light they shine, so it's not him, because I do not bypass him in this way.

Buy the correct "stop" light switch and pay attention to its correct installation. It is quite a delicate device and is easy to damage when worn. A description of the above can be found on the forum.
Damaged above switch (e.g. Golf IV, similar in Passat b5) and a blown fuse from the brake light is indicated by the glow plug heating lamp, however, each of these faults is slightly different.
In the past I came across a new switch damaged, but after demolition and repair it still serves me.
