    Hi.
This time I need help. Namely, when using the computer (I was browsing the net) the screen suddenly turned white. Since I waited a bit, nothing has changed. Ok, went the reset. The start screen, system loading normally appears, and then ... Nothing. Emptiness, black in the place where I should put the pin. The monitor detects the source (I changed from DVI to dsub), the screen is black. I tried self-repair, nothing. I start the safe mode, normally I turn on the screen with logging in to the computer, which was not visible in normal mode. That there is a problem here. I don't remember the account password. That's all from logging in. Changing your Microsoft account password did nothing. The system was also restored, because it turns out that I didn't have backups. Enabling the ASRock setup settings works, the monitor displays normally until you enter the PIN. I know that a fresh installation can be a solution, but someone has an idea what could happen? Specification: ASRock P67 pro3, i5 2500k, hd7850, 8gb ram, win 10.

Thank you for your response. The problem is, there is a problem here. In order to start the emergency mode I have to log in to the account assigned to the system. And I can't remember my password. I changed them on another computer, but it doesn't work, the password is still incorrect.

90% damaged graphics card - works in safe mode because there is no driver in normal mode you have a black screen when the driver is loading.
As usual, I predict because I repair an unknown PC to anyone ...

I have similar concerns. Where I live, I have nobody to borrow a card to check it out. Tomorrow I'm taking my computer home and I will check it. Thanks for "shooting".

If the equipment has an integrated graphics chip, remove the PCI / AGP chip and connect the monitor to the integrated one. Such a simple test quickly.

Specification I gave earlier in the first post. It is not possible for me.

I sit at work and wonder. I have not tried to put the system down again. Do you think these may be drivers, not a hardware problem?

In safe mode the drivers do not work. Only the simplest system.
Of course you can try. But I think the chances are small.

That is why it puzzled me. If the login screen is displayed in safe mode and not in normal mode, it may be the fault of the drivers. I can't check it now. If I know something, I will let you know and we will close the topic.

    EDIT
Okay, I'm stupid. I connected another graphics card at home, also amd. It works. Wyinstalowalem So I uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled my card, fired the computer. Happy I came back to myself, plug in the computer, turn on ... It doesn't work. I thought for a moment and came to the conclusion that I connected the monitor at home to HDMI. At home under DVI, because the monitor has no hdmi output. So the DVI socket must have fallen. I quickly brought the TV, plug it in and it doesn't work. What is? At home, it worked normally.

PS. Tip. Brother has an old monitor in 4: 3 format. I have 16: 9 in full HD. Maybe the drivers do not want to load the resolution?

    I merged. RADU23

Maybe the card can't handle the resolution? Did you install her drivers at her brother's and did a load test even in OCCT?
Or maybe your power supply has died. You also didn't even say what you got there. And the card draws some power.
DVI and HDMI are basically the same signal and the socket itself is rather difficult to damage.

I'm in the middle of a fight. I have been struggling for a long time to get around the win10 password, but finally I work around to clean my system disk and install fresh win10. To do this, I installed win7 on the second disk. Everything works normally on a fresh system, full HD resolution.
Yesterday I also noticed that when win10 turns on and, instead of iast login screens is a black screen, USB ports also turn off. The keyboard and mouse are not lit.
A power supply OCZ zt 650w.
    UPDATE
Unfortunately you probably were right, it's something with the equipment. Win 10 installed, we turn on about 3 times. I installed a browser to download the drivers to the motherboard (I didn't even install the card controls) and suddenly the screen went black. And everything returned to the original problem. The system is loading and instead of "welcome" I have disabled USB ports and a black gray screen. I noticed that at first it becomes so dark gray, then it quickly flashes black as if it turned on only, a monitor message is displayed that the source is DVI and then nothing. Tera, it's hard for me to tell if it's a card or a power supply.
Oh, I've got two fresh systems on my computer right now. Under win7 the problem has not yet appeared. I will see after some time.

    UPDATE
Well, I reached for English-language resources and it turns out that the problem of a black image in the login screen is not uncommon. A lot of people using AMD equipment struggle with it. Different forums present different solutions, but for most, including me, they are ineffective. There are people who (because they can't afford a new card) fight the problem for weeks, months. The problem concerns the drivers and system version. Suddenly, different models on different versions of wines 10 evoke a black screen. AMD on official forums and support is silent on this topic. Employees contribute on other topics helping users, with the problem of a black screen are silent. There is no real solution to this.
One person (unrelated to AMD) gathered all the victims (about a hundred people) to report and analyzed their problems. Unfortunately, it turned out that one of the reasons (in some cases, e.g. black screen during driver installation) MAY be a card malfunction.

Overall: There are some tips on how to solve the black screen problem. However, only in some cases they can help. There is no official solution or any words from AMD.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Windows 10 user experiencing a black login screen after a system reset, following a transition from a white screen. The user is unable to log in due to a forgotten password and suspects a graphics card issue, as the screen works in safe mode but not in normal mode. Various suggestions are made, including checking integrated graphics, potential driver issues, and hardware problems. The user eventually connects a different graphics card, which resolves the issue temporarily, but the problem recurs after installing drivers. The user also notes that USB ports become unresponsive during the black screen issue, indicating possible hardware failure. The power supply is mentioned as a potential culprit.
