    Hi and forehead.
I have a little problem, and I don't really trust mechanics and sappers. Over a year ago the "check engine" light came on. As the manufacturer advises - I went for computer diagnostics. It turned out that the heating circuit of the second probe (CODE 0141). For a year, I had to go out to replace it. After all, I did it two days ago. I exchanged for a Bosch probe with the hope that I will drive to my death.
Happy that I will not hurt my eyes with the orange light anymore, I went to remove the error. They removed the error, I started the engine, everything is fine, I'm going - ass. It caught fire again. They say - maybe it's because of the cold engine. We warmed it up, the action was the same and the ending was the same. They said that a more in-depth diagnosis would be needed, but they did not have the equipment and that stations with better equipment had to be looked for.
What could it be? Is it possible that I threw three hundred coins down the drain? Ladies and gentlemen, I am begging you - help me because I will get gray here ...

(I'm not a little scabbard, but I hope I didn't stretch the regulations too much)

    Cheers to everyone.

Maybe you had to get it diagnosed right away to someone who knows what they're doing, not just reading errors and replacing them.

Anyone would be a pain in the ass with their baby! Besides, how was I supposed to know they had poor hardware ;)
I read a bit on the web. I will try to check the contacts in the connector, if that does not help, I will look for a station with 'better equipment'. I will also ask if there is an option that this error will go out by itself without the intervention of the computer if the defect is eliminated?

Of course, the indicator will go out as soon as the fault is fixed, only the error will remain in the memory.

Heater resistance measurement in the old and new probes. Checking if the heater reaches plus, checking if there is voltage there, checking the continuity of the wire between the heater and the ECU.
Checking the above will give an answer where the cause is.
There may be a damaged ECU.

You want to check yourself, then instead of the probe heater, connect a light bulb, eg 21W, it should glow with pulses, this way you can check the installation, after the same heater you can check with an ordinary meter.

The error code can be read from the indicator in the 'two pedal' way, and reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Why pay a mechanic for something you can do yourself?

Yes, it makes no sense to pay for reading errors, but for repair it is, because usually it is much cheaper and more effective than digging through someone who has no idea about it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an Opel Corsa C with a Z10XE engine, experiencing a persistent "check engine" light due to error code 0141, indicating a problem with the heating circuit of the second lambda probe. After replacing the probe with a Bosch unit, the error reappeared despite initial hopes of resolution. Participants suggest checking the probe's heater resistance, ensuring proper voltage, and verifying wire continuity to the ECU. They also mention that the error code can be cleared by disconnecting the battery or using a two-pedal method. The author expresses frustration over potential wasted expenses and seeks further diagnostic advice.
