I own an Opel Corsa D 1.2 86. In August candles were changed. After visiting the plant moss. the engine started to jerk and the check engine icon was flashing. A damaged coil was found. Half a year later, the situation pleases, the icon flashes again and the coil changes again. I'm afraid the problem will come again. Is this really a problem with the coil. Maybe something with electrics ???

If replacing the coil helps for at least a few weeks, it is either faulty coils (maybe some hopeless substitutes?) Or something ends these coils (cables, candles), I just forgot whether the coil is more short-circuited or a complete lack of connection. Do you have gas in the car?

Damage (loss of ignition) on the same cylinder as last time? Coil - original or replacement used?

There are no cables, there is a module with 4 coils, mounted on candles:

Coils fall in these cars quite often, but not every six months, unless someone drives on burned candles (too much distance), it is also worth checking if they are well selected ...

I would check carefully if good candles are installed. I had a case that 2 coils died because of inappropriate candles.

Buddy and you checked out the ignition loss may also be lack of compression on the cylinder or damaged fuel injection ;) .

First of all, let the author of the post specify what engine and what fuel to supply. I had a very similar situation. First, the candles were replaced, then the coil, and finally the gas strip was replaced. And the problem disappeared

That's it: petrol 1.2 80 horses. Candles replaced the day before the first coil replacement / fault. Case?!
This injection can also be because I feel something when I warm up the engine when adding gas but they said not to worry. Be smart here and write poems ...

What error does it show you?
I regularly jumped P0420 every 40km - like something wrong with the catalyst. In addition, I had a situation with a flashing check engine 2 times - ignition loss. As I mentioned above, I came across a good gas burner, which in addition to adjusting the installation (including vacuum) replaced the gas injection rail. I've traveled several thousand kilometers since the repair and nothing happens.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around recurring issues with the check engine light on an Opel Corsa D 1.2 (86) after coil replacements. The user reports that after changing the spark plugs and a damaged coil, the check engine light began flashing again after six months. Responses suggest that the problem may not solely be with the coils, as faulty spark plugs or electrical issues could also be contributing factors. Several participants recommend checking the compatibility and quality of the spark plugs, as well as potential issues with fuel injection or compression in the engine. The importance of identifying the specific error codes and ensuring proper installation of components is emphasized.
