My coffee machine - as in the subject - I bought six months ago - has been unused for about a month. So far, it has worked without reservation.
Today I am making coffee, and the height-adjustable coffee dispenser drops to the lowest level by itself. Until now, it stopped at the level set by me and to move it, you had to use a little force, because the element worked with a slight resistance. What could go wrong. Could it be because I haven't used it for a month? Some rubber chafed inside?
What is responsible for holding the coffee spout / spout at the selected height? How to get inside to check what has been damaged? Is it worth trying to repair it yourself or return it for a complaint?

The rule is simple - there is a manufacturer's warranty, we do not interfere> Saeco is not the cheapest, but if you look for yourself and then something more serious happens and the manufacturer will not accept the warranty?

    Back to the topic ...
I solved the problem by returning the device to the service under warranty.

The technician, when asked about the reasons, said that this solution is not the happiest one at Philips Saeco and it just breaks. Allegedly, the reason is the alternating high and low water temperature (heated with a heater). He said that temperature and limescale would always guarantee the work of a service technician in these devices. Apparently, removing this defect requires literally dismantling the entire device.

I repeat to you the words of the service technician from the point in Gdańsk.
